Looking for comics for another project, I decided to meander down the toy aisle of CVS today on my way out. Low and behold, I found something that seemed out of place given where I was. I saw one of the TV games...but it wasn't the official TV Games, it was on of the TV units that Techno Source puts out (the same people who did the Intellivision ones) I thought "cool, but this is going to be an arm and a leg...probably $25" So I look...$10! I was pleasantly suprised, so I picked it up. The controller looks like the hotel "gateway" units that you can play SNES games on, movies, etc. (There was a hotel in Jersey that I stayed in last year that had them)

The games:

Balloon Pop
Highway
Boxing
Paddle Fun
Raceway
Get 'Em
Drop 'Em
Snow Boarding
Submarine
Hungry Worm

I feel like an idiot for asking, but are those games original or are the ports from another system?

My local CVS has several PSX and GBA games behind the counter as well. Mostly all of them are budget titles, but it's nice to see anyway (although I'll never understand why they're back there).

The CVS's in Florida have PSX, GB, and GBA games in the toy aisle. I remember seeing mostly kiddie games, Spyro, Blue's Clues, etc. They were all around $10-15, I was thinking they are probably for tourists who need something else to distract their annoying kids :)

Yeah the one by me has a bunch of games way overpriced...but thats to be expected. On a related note, my local ShopRite supermarket also carries overpriced GBA and PS2 games...but they actually have some decent titles like Castlevania: AoS.

Someone was mentioning that the Intellivision ones actually use NES hardware. This one looks like the same manufacturer. So if that's really true, then these could be new NES games. I need to get my ass to CVS...

(Anyone have screen shots?)

Graphics on the box appear to be of NES quality, but I can get shots later tonight when I get done in weaving.
