dreamcast controller adaptor question

i was wondering that if i got one of those adaptors that lets you use ps2 controllers on a dc, do you think using a ps2 dancepad on the dc would work out alright? that would be a cheaper and easier option than trying to track down a dc dance pad...and my uh....girlfriend...uh really wants to play ddr!

The adaptors exist, but they are very hard to find and fairly expensive.

Do you have a PSX? There are 3 domestic DDR games and tons of imports. Way more than the DC ever did (1 or 2, plus 1 homebrew).

i know i can get one, i just need to know if it will work right or not. i guess my main issue is wondering if the button layout would be the same. otherwise, i don't see why it wouldn't work right.
