Everyone has their favorite title or titles. I was wondering what single title each one of you are the "best" at. I personally am an exceptional Virtua Fighter player, esp. part 2. I wish I had the time to master VF4 like I did with 2 and 3. I am not claiming to be the greatest VF player in the world, I'm just the best VF player i've ever met! I have played in Japan too! I want to hear your stories. I am sure we have some record holders that surf the DP threads.

Well, I've been known to beat Ninja Gaiden III with only 2-3 lives. Beat Contra without using a continue and without the 30 lives code. Finished Super Metroid with 100% item collection in just over an hour. And, I've never once been beaten in NBA Hangtime on the N64...even when I first started playing the game... not by any human... not even by the computer. NEVER! Lifetime unbeaten streak! 8-)
Heck, I even played the game upside down while looking in a mirror (I kid you not), and I still beat the computer by 10 points. It's the only Midway sports game that I was ever able to be so good that I could nullify the rubberband AI.

I'm extremely good at Marvel vs. Capcom 2. I used to have all nighters with that game practicing for tournaments. Im also good at Super Smash Brothers Melee, and VF4.

I'm currently undefeated in Guilty Gear XX. I feel a bit guilty (no pun) though, since I don't own it. I should buy it now that it's $20 at my store

Contra all the way for me. I've beaten it many times without dying, and without using the gun, except on bosses and the base stages.

I was way up there on Super Monkey Ball, and Super Monkey Ball 2 (but tons of people have surpassed me in those rankings, so I can't claim to be great at those games anymore, although I think I still have a world record or two)

Also Mega Man 2. I've been trying to push that game to it's limits lately. Most recently I've managed to beat Heat Man's stage first without getting hit or using the blaster except on Heat Man himself.

And Tony Hawk 3. A while back I had the "All 9 Goals in 2 minutes" challenge going on, and I was able to complete perfect runs in all but two of the stages before I ended up trading the game in.

I've spent way too much time on some games.

Well, right now I'm not really AWESOME!!! at anything, but...

At one time I was extremely confident that I was The Best, literally, at WCW vs. nWo: World Tour and WCW/nWo Revenge. I used to play those games SO much, it was like an addiciton to crack. I knew every single move for every single wrestler, and I had the timing down so that you couldn't even do anything at all. I would just kick your f'n ass. And the vast majority of the time I could kick the crap out of two psychos, who were good, in a handicap match on Revenge.

I can't really think of any other titles where I could, at one point in time, claim to be The Best.

Right now I'm trying to max the score on Devil's Crush (already been done, but will be cool for me), and eventually beat Blazing Lazers without dying (wish me luck... I think I'll need a lot).

I can finish the original Castlevania, Simon's Quest, Castlevania IV, Castlevania Dracula X and Akumjuo Dracula X: Chi no Rondo without dying. Ditto with Contra (no 30 men code), Strider (Genny version) and Gradius (no powerup code).

AWESOME QUESTION!
For me, I am the best at:
Super Mario Brother 3, I can pretty much beat the whole game without losing more than 3 guys, no whilstles.

Contra, can beat it no problem with only 2 guys.

And Mario Kart 64. Noone can beat me at this title. I am still perfecting my skills as we speak at Double Dash. The thing is with DD, if your in last place you get ALL great items, and the first place gets screwed conpletely. Its like this in MarioKart64, but not NEAR as bad.

I beat every damn boxer in Super Punch-Out in 25 seconds or less.

I can hold my own at most Bemani titles, notably DDR, IIDX and Pop'n.

Most Castlevania titles, all Contra titles, a few Gradius games, Space Harrier and its sequel, Gunstar Heroes, and the Ghosts N' Goblins series. Hey, it's not THAT hard to beat legitimately on both loops! All you just need is lots of patience and perseverance. Oh, and of course, beware John Romero. LOL

Is it just me, or does this topic seem to come up every month. Oh well, I'd say I'm the best in Tony Hawk 1 and 2, and both Smash Bros games. I've only been beaten a couple times in SB and I can't remember ever losing a scoring match in TH.

I'm horrible at all videogames. Really. Back in the day when SF2 first came out on SNES I was the master of that, and even then I wasn't any good.

If there's an easy option, I'm all over it (except when it just makes the game stupid, like Devil May Cry). Don't get me wrong, I love a challenge (DMC is a great example), but I frustrate easily and with so many games out there vying for my time, no reason to beat myself up with something that's just not fun.

I am the only person in the WORLD to beat Thrust+ Platnum for the Atari 2600. Nobody else has beaten that game since it was created in 2000. It took me 42 minutes of straight gameplay the first time I beat it. And I have got it down to 38 minutes since then.

I am sure nobody else can say they are the only person in the world to beat a game 8-)

Ninja Gaiden 2, I can beat the whole game in less than 14 minutes every time (My best is 13:05), and not lose a life while doing so.
