I was wondering. How do you guys get those PS2 Demo Discs? I'm not talking about the magazine demo discs, but those with cardboard boxes, with retail art (sometimes different), with DEMO DISC - NOT FOR RESALE wrote on it.

I would love to get lots of those discs for free. A friend of mine got some for me on last year's E3.

Work in retail and get to know your Sony Rep pretty well.

Sometimes you can find them on eBay or convince your game store to give them to you.

The official term is "Kiosk Disk" or "Kiosk Demo"

Well, the problem is that i don't live in USA

Could someone get some extra for me? constantly? :D

I know there's some on ebay , but most people ask 4 bucks for 1. If i try to buy them separately, i would spend too much money...

Well, the discs don't come out very often, so getting them regularly would be pretty tough.

Also, $4 is a pretty good price, as they often fetch $10+

Also, every PS2 Kiosk disc I have seen comes in a plastic sleeve (says PS2, not for resale on it), and not a cardboard box.

Well the Demo Discs i'm talking about come in cardboard "boxes". Check some:

Yes, you both are talking about two different things.

Sisko I believe is talking about the ones that weren't meant to be given out (multigame samplers), while Johnny is talking about the ones that were meant to be given out (single game, demos).

You can usually get them in game stores for free when you reserve a game or asking nicely. That said, I really wouldn't pay over $2 with a cheap shipping on them if I was buying them. I'm pretty sure you'd have to have a NTSC-U enabled PS2 to get them to work ( can't remember what tele standard Brazil is)

I can try to get some from work on the 14th if we still have some. I would only ask for the price of shipping.

To get them in directly in SA though, I would not know.

I have Kiosk Disc 10.

Got it free because it was lying behind the counter. Basically, Sony sends us the stuff. The Dept. Manager has to switch them themselves. (Unlike Nintendo who comes in every month and cleans up and does maintenance and gives freebies. Because unlike Sony and Microsoft, they care. Which is why the GameCube Kiosk has the most uptime while the PS2 sits dead in the water - Unable to Read Disc - and the Xbox freezes up once in a while.)

It was sitting on the counter. So I took it. And no one noticed. I also took an unused DVD Software updater.

The only two items I own for the PS2. And I don't have a PS2.

All TVs in Brazil are both PAL-M (Modified NTSC) and NTSC. My PS2 is NTSC U/C also.
I want lots of demo discs like that, although 1 of each game. Don't want to have like 20 Socom 2 Demo discs, you know. Plus, it's better for me to get lots of them (1 of each game) and pay just one shipping then buying them separarely on ebay and paying shipping for each.

Let me know if you get some.

Thanks in advance
