I'm not afraid to admit that I hate EA. I never realized that they've become as large as they have... at this point, it'll take a complete industry crash to cut them down to size.

Will they branch out into making their own game consoles? Let's hope not.

Well, EA's great for publishing of course, assuming that you don't want to put an XBox title online. Since they are still feuding with Microsoft over that.

But, it is definitely getting to be a "Big Boys only" club for publishing. This has to be the death-knell for Acclaim.

EA sucks, especially considering what they once were. This company has totally changed in the past ten years, and all for the worst.

I'm going to buck the trend and say that I buy a lot of EA's games and want them to do well. Besides, the industry is heading in the direction of just ahandfull of mega-big companies anyway. And Acclaim and Eidos dying? Fine by me! But Capcom can NOT be struggling.

Go ahead and flame me all you want, guys. I'll give as good as I get! LOL

If it takes Ack-lame(Flying Edge) and Eidos out of the picture, I'm all for it.

Plus, this means that TimeSplitters 3 will get more exposure. TimeSplitters 2 was a great game that didn't get the mass-market appeal that it deserved. I still mention this game to people looking for a good FPS and they're like "What's that all about? I ain't ever heard of that."

EA must be doing domething right since I'm still playing last year's College Football game...and I'm one the least likely people to be playing a football game. :)

Why are Edios & Acclaim struggling? whta games that are good have they made as of late? Capcom is struggling?

EA makes good games. Not being online for the X-Box pisses me off but most of the games they make are good. EA might be buying up all the games but that is how all sectors of businesses are going. The big buy up the small or weak.

You just answered your own question there. Though it's not "made," but "published," which is even worse.

Capcom is struggling?

I don't like what is happening with the industry because all this power being concentrated in just a few hands will kill any creativity. In some years there will be nothing more than Sims' expansion packs, FF sequels and Madden games to play. The real briliant games, the ones you can truly call a piece of interactive art are dying. I blame the megacorporations and the stupid 'Joe Average' for this sad situation...
