Are any of yall taking advantage of the fact that many KBToys stores are closing? I went in today and they still had an ok amount of video games, no game consoles, but it seemed as though they had the same amount of toys and action figures and stuff that they usually do.

Also since the store in my town is going out of business, they cleared out all the stuff in the back, and sat it out again for ppl to buy.. like i saw Dreamcast accessories, N64 accessories, N64 games, 2 game.com games: [batman and robin, mortal kombat trilogy], alot of gameboy advanced accessories, N64 Mortal kombat 4 shark key, a ton of Genesis NHL games lol.. sadly the prices said like $4 for some, and like.. $15 for others @_@ , also Vectorman 2 for Genesis for $4.99, Desert Strike - Genesis $4.99.. i also saw a few game related action figures and other toys.. like i saw a few mortal kombat action figures from a while back, i saw a donkey kong action figure, Crash bandicoot go-kart remote control car.. also alot of extra stuff...

today i only picked up the 2 Game.com games for $4.99 and $3.99, and a Dreamcast controller for $2.99.. this is before the 20%

i'm almost positive that i'm going back to get more... would be crazy not to.. but i'm not sure what i should get. I had more in my hands but put it back b/c i wasnt really in the mood to be blowin alot of money away..

so are any of yall picking up things from the KBToys liquidation sales?

Are the outlet stores closing too? I have a Kay-Bee Toy Liquidators near me, I dont know though. I hope that everyone that has access to one near them is finding cool stuff, I always that that thier stuff was crap....but a clearance sale is always a good find, no matter what the store is :D

Some are. One of the Toy Works up here is closing. All they had was a few PSX and next gen games though. No DC or earlier.

The one I went to cleared out all their old stuff, mostly game.com games and dreamcast stuff, which doesn't interest me at all. I did snag the only item I found interesting though, a snes ac adapter in box for $0.99 8-)

The KayBees in my town (Albuqerque) are not closing, so no sale. If they were, I'd be all over them like white on rice.

For that matter, we had a thread a little while ago where some of you were getting these hella deal at Toys R Us on Dreamcast stuff. Once again, the Duke City seems to be in its own little reality as our TRU's are still trying to sell NFL2K2 for $15. O_O :hmm:

Only 3 KBs are closing in NJ and since one of them is in a mall that had two KBs, I doubt if there's going to be any sales there.

This is the list of stores that are closing, if that helps.

awesome work Dr. Mario Kart. That's probably the biggest help so far! Now.....if only TRU would make a list of which stores are closing things out......I go there all the time in hopes. They close out one system and leave the rest at regular price. I don't really care for sonic adv. 2 for $39.99....it's just not appealing LOL (did get jojo's biz. adv for $9.99 though!)

EDIT: almost forgot, at my kb....i'll check again tomorrow but i picked up a pokemon strat guide for N64, pokemon stadium 2 I believe. Just $0.99! Games are still too high priced for me, i'm a big deal shopper. I'll buy it if it's on sale....even if I don't want it, hence the reason I picked up that guide. :P

Heh,

When I visited Ralph Baer this past November, I went to a local Walmart. Next door to it was A KB Toy Works so I bought a few games there to avoid paying sales tax. Now I see from the list that the KB I went to is the only one in New Hampshire that is closing.
