Went to the swap meet yesterday and was suprised to see so many famiclones. First i saw one with 55 games called gameplayer. Next I saw the one with 1001 games in 1 that looks like a N64 controller that connects to the TV. I thought those were interesting, but then I saw a handheld that said it had 9,999 games in 1. That was pretty unbeleivable. BUT THEN...The next dealer across the way had almost the same type of handheld (boxed) with 999,999 games in 1! LOL.

Then, there is this one Chinese lady whos really cool. She had about 8 original gameboy multi carts. One even had 52 games on it, and one looked it like it was an import with megaman and stuff. Also she even had some gameboy advance multi carts!

My questions:
1. How much could the gameboy multi catrs be priced at?
2. and the gameboy advance?
3. If I pick up any of these is anyone interested in buying them from me? :D

well, caveat emptor. famiclones ARE cool, but there were NOT 9,999 and definitely the hell NOT 999,999 games on the original system. the 55-in-1 may have 55 games on it, but it's so difficult to say as there are dozens, if not hundreds of famiclone variants. the N64 looker is most likely a famiclone. if you buy one or two for yourself, do yourself a favor and get them with a cart slot. this way you can play original (and not so original, lol) carts as you come across them.

most multi carts i've seen go for anywhere from $30-$100, depending on what's on them. it's hard to say as i can't see what she had (she spoke no english?- maybe bring a gba with you to check out if the carts are non-repeating.)

2. and the gameboy advance?

ditto.

you'll probably find a few buyers here, but wait and see before you commit time and money...
