I remember hearing about a Mario type game called Hermie Hopperhead. Did this game ever come out in the U.S.?

Was it Japan only?

Does anybody have this game?

I'm not basing this on anything, but my gut instinct is NO

Appears to be just a JP release, it's a Best Title, so it *shouldn't* cost too much to import. Looks kinda like a Bubble Bobble/Mario game.

Hermie Hopperhead was never released to the US (unfortunately). SONY must have had their hand busy w/titles like Twisted Metal 3 and the like. Anyways most people have never heard of this obscure title, I'm pretty sure you heard about it in Gamefan (best magazine ever!!!). I purchased it and Princess Crown (japanese Saturn) on the same day from an import shop. Needless to say it (hermie hopperhead) is one of the best imports you can find (however I never saw it before and never saw it after), it's got Yoshi's Island wrote all over it and if you like good platformers you should make a point to track it down.

Hello Anthony.

I'd like to introduce you to the DP Collector Lists, a subsidiary of the DP Collector's Guide. The PlayStation list, painstakingly researched by Kris Roper with some assistance from a variety of talented and dedicated individuals is online here:

I'm giving you the link to the whole kit 'n kaboodle, so you can get fast answers to similar questions on any of the other 80 or so systems we've researched. For now, go ahead and click on the PlayStation list.

Note that Hermie Hopperhead appears in the "non-US" section, Japan to be specific. It does not appear in the US section.

Hope this helps!
