I actually thought of this some time ago, but when I first heard of the Marvel/EA collaboration I was too busy doubting it to remember this old idea.

What if EA made sports games using Marvel superheroes? I remember some of my favorite X-Men comics were the ones where they just get together and play softball, or basketballl, etc. Of course, it always starts out with a no-powers rule, but things always break down, powers get used, and then you have a pile of mutants at home plate.

EA knows how to do sports quite well, and I think I would have more faith seeing a project like this than I have for the proposed fighting game with new EA characters.

I think a better solution is just not to buy the game and hope that the whole thing goes away after that.

Indeed.

Now that I have had time to reflect upon it...yes, Capcom's involvement was a marvelous, er, wonderful thing. This may or may not give some good games, but I'd rather have Capcom instead.

A sports games would be kinda fun. I remember when the Avengers played the West Coast Avengers in a game of baseball. It happened in the annuals of each team. Good issues.

I highly doubt that EA is going to release a product that I would even consider purchasing.

Even without a Marvel license, some new Mutant League Hockey/Football/etc games could be decent.
