I have a couple questions about it, What package out there right now is the best one to get? Also i have not played to much of anything on the x-box which are the first 2 games i should get. Also is there any truth to the rumor they will be droping in price soon or is that just what it is a rumor? Oh and is there a wireless controller that is as good as the wavebird for the x-box?
Thanks in advance,
Chris

Halo is a good FPS if you're into those, Rainbow Six 3 is excellent as well.
Project Gotham 2 is a great racing game.
Crimson Skies is very fun.
If you can still find a place that has some of the Holiday Xbox bundles left, the ones with Tetris Worlds and Star Wars, it's a killer deal. If not, you can always swipe a core system for $180 and get the 2 pack-in titles (4 games total) for close to $20 used at Gamestop. 8-) A better deal, IMO. :)

Get:
Halo (just to practice for halo 2)
Project Gotham 2 (the best racing simulator game EVER made)
RalliSport Challenge (Best Rally Racing game ever made)
Fusion Frenzy (Good party-style game)
There are a few rf controllers for the xbox. I have never tried any of them but I have heard that they are ok. The problem is that they are upwards of $50. Sorry, I dont remember the names of any of them. None are made by microsoft.

Shenmue II - First priority (Although it's becoming increasingly harder to find)
Halo - Do I really need to explain this choice?

im not sure when the price drop will happen but i would wait til that happens.ive had an xbox for the longest time and i have no use for it or my ps2,i think my gamecube games out number my xbox and ps2 combined.i can never really see any games that really justify it ,i was lucky and bought one used at work.i mean if you are just going for every system thats cool,i just persoallly dont care for a lot of the games.you may be differnet though of course,it seems from when i worked in electronics at walmart the majority of people who liked xbox only liked the pc and sports games.

Jet Set Radio Future is also a fun game to get. You know what I mean if you've ever played Jet Grind Radio on the Dreamcast.

Crimson Skies is all you need.
Completely destroys anything on PS2 or GC.

I'd say:
Morrowind Game of the Year Edition
Halo
Ghost Recon (and GR: Island Thunder)
Project Gotham Racing 1 & 2
Rallisport Challenge
Toejam & Earl 3
yeah, thats more than 2, but several are Platinum Hits and are under $20. Check Circuit City for clearance/mark downs, they usually have several games under $15, some as low as $5.
I didn't know Shenmue 2 was that hard to find. I passed it up at Circuit City for under $10 last week...

The first two games I received with my XBOX were Halo and Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. My XBOX collection has quintupled since then. :P

I dunno, that scooby doo game gives it a good run for the money.

Halo, Mech Assault and Crimson Skies are all must haves. Panzer Dragoon Orta is good one to get too. I just picked one up at KayBee recently for $9.99. Mech Assault is $19.99. Halo is $29.99. Crimson Skies is probably $49.99 still.
Crimson Sea is a cool action/adventure/rpg game by KOEI. It's kinda hard to find. Try GameStop. I got mine used for $24.99 there.
I am not sure if you were looking for XBOX only releases, but Metal Arms: Glitch in the System, LOTR: Two Towers and LOTR: Return of the King, are all great on the XBOX. Metal Arms is very underrated and fun to play.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
Mech Assault (there's a nifty new expansion they're hocking for 5 bucks, it's pretty worth it)
Crimson Skies is a hoot, but is in serious need of some downloadable content, MORE FREAKING MAPS!!!
Wolfenstein is damned fine, runs smooth and has a fairly large variety of levels and game types.
Splinter Cel, great!
Counter Strike has been a lot of fun, though a little limited (and the 12 year old kids who play all day and all night and can kick you ass 6 ways to Sunday, little fuckers!)
The only problems I've ever had with my XB is some of the people who are on the XBL. 90% are fine and dandy, the other 10% seem to think the only reason to use the mic is to sing loudly and badly, see how many times they can say 'Nigger', 'faggot' or 'Jewbag' before someone calls them on their bigotry and boots them, to to tell you how awesome they are as they take yet another rocket launcher in the face.
Personally I might consider waiting until this supposed price drop in a few months, but whatever you decide, good luck.

Re: where to buy it. I purchased my XBox for $180 at GameCrazy (inside Hollywood Video). It came with Clone Wars/Tetris and 12 Free Rentals. I proceeded to eBay the rentals and the game to the tune of $20-some each, putting the total cost of my brand new XBox at about $140. Good deal if you ask me...

Personally, Halo isn't all that its cracked up to be - the people who like it the most are people who haven't been playing FPS on the computer obsessively I theorize. It's a lot of fun playing co-op, but aside from that its not anything you NEED to own. It's a good game, don't get me wrong, but aside from co-op, Halo was originally a much better game for the PC - at least Bungie's initial designs for the game...a lot more expansive. The levels in Halo are very similar looking repetetive...indicative of a console shooter...not to mention a joypad is NO way to play a FPS. I also wouldn't recommend Gun Valkyrie unless you're a rabid Sega fanboy like me. It's not that great either.
Anyway to answer your question:
Shen Mue II
Panzer Dragoon Orta
Kung Fu Chaos
House of the Dead 3 (if you like light gun games)
Ninja Gaiden
Otogi: Myth of the Demons
Serious Sam - a blast on the PC, better on the PC - but co-op again makes it worthwhile - especially since you can get it dirt cheap cuz nobody really wants it.

Get the Jet Set Radio Future / Sega GT dual pack used from EB...the thing is honestly about $4
After that, Crimson Skies and Burnout 2 would be my two choices. Plus, if you play your cards right, Burnout 2 is dropping to $20 a lot of places...

You absolutely must get last years Xbox game of the year, "Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic". Not only did it win Xbox game of the yaer, but all around game of the year from many publications. I'm surprised more haven't recommended this game. It will provide hours and hours of entertainment!
Now that you have single player covered your going to need a multiplayer fest, and of course Halo is the best, it also has great single player, so you win both ways. You will also get the most out of Halo if you play all difficulties, by the time you get to Legendary you will be getting why this game is the best. Oh it also won game of the year the previous year.
