....with an item they recieve from you, and the first thing they do is jump on the negative feedback bandwagon?

I go and check my feedback today (I love feedback!) and heres this...

NEGATIVE: hey the game doesnt work..i tried everything!!!!im sooo mad!!!ahhhhh. bad seller - from saxman0409( 3 )

Now if he would have e-mailed me I would have helped him...but he didn't, and hasen't since he made this post yesterday. I would have either refunded his 4.25 for the Donkey Kong Country 2 cart or sent him another as a replacement. Now F'it, he can keep the cart that supposedly doesn't work if he wants to act like that. But ugh, this really pisses me off when people do stuff like this. Damn newbies.

Heh, I just got Activision Anthology GBA off Ebay (no one here sells it) and the lady, who had impeccable feedback, sent me the box and manual, but no game (according to the auction, the game was complete, save for the mini-baggie for the GBA game). So, instead of negging her immediately like some jerks would have done, I emailed her nicely, telling her that I received the box and manual but no game and included my mailing address again so that she wouldn't have to lose time looking for it. Well, she responded back saying that she keeps the games separate from the boxes and that she forgot to include it in there. So, she sent it to me, and I did receive it on Friday.

I figured by looking at her feedback, that it was most likely to be an honest mistake, which it was. And tonight, I will be able to enjoy that Activision Anthology once the UPS truck stops by here at work and delivers my brand new pearl pink GBA SP.

This is what bothers me most...I had 98.3% positive feedback - 408 total - and I havent had a negative in probably 6 months! And poof, without even e-mailing me or trying to resolve the problem they just leave a negative. ugh

i remember a post about a possible mutual negative feedback removal, have you tried to find information about this???

People that do stuff like that are a big part of what makes eBay so horrible these days.

As for that mutual neg removal, even if that goes through the neg will still be in your feedback. You'll get your point back, but the negative comment remains.

What eBay needs is a good appeal system for feedback. This is a prime example of an unnecessary negative, one that eBay should remove, as long as the problem is sorted out. But without a system like that in place, people will have to continue to deal with the idiots who spoil eBay for everyone else.

Almost all negative feedbck I get comes from idiots like this. Ebay should have a neg policy sort of like the npb one. When a person is going to leave a neg, the other person should be notified and have 48 hours to do something or not.

My philosophy is periodically, be the idiot, and get negative feedback. It'll keep you worrying about that spotless record and when idiots rag on you.

And how's this shit! I still haven't paid for the latest feedback item from hobbystars. Bwhaha, now I will take even longer to pay.

No, I'm not an asshole in real life.

Really!

I've had people send me the item before I even sent payment. This happened one, I don't even remember which game it was, but I seriously had the money order in my room, and the package comes, and ti was the game that I hadn't even sent the money order for yet.

That almost happened to me once. I won the auction, and sent payment about 3 days later. The item arrived 4 days after the auction ended. I was incredibly amazed with the speed of shipping, it was a complete pal snes with 4 games shipped from Quebec, and it wasn't even priority shipping.

These people amaze me sometimes, There the type of people to do this constantly, and then not get paid for one of them, and never use eBay again because "all the people are dishonst and I'll get ripped off!" LOL

I've never had this happened, I do get feedback left sometimes before payment. I sent a MO off this morning and had feedback today when i checked it. Odd...odd indeed.

I feel you cmosfm. I got my first Neg a little over a month ago. I have 229 stars, 371 feedbacks, and 1 negative (99.6%).

Story time.

Nicole, my girlfriend, picked up her old NES from her dads house a few months back. Since I already have 5 NES'/Famis around the house, she wanted me to sell it for her on E-bay. I always take them apart, clip the lockout, and clean them. When I put them up for sale, I try to offer The system, all hook ups, two controllers, gun, and three games. $30 opening bid, $45 Bin with free shipping. They usually sell within the first day. The auction and transaction goes fine. My girlfriend ships it out a few days after the auction ends (media mail) and it takes a little over a week to arrive. This was around the holidays also. During the week it takes to arrive, I get about 3 e-mails from the buyer asking where it is. After the third e-mail, I tell him that if it doesn't arrive in the next few days, I will send out another. I also ask him if he could send one back if they both arrive. That is sticking your neck out. The system arrives, and he leaves a neg and says it doesn't work and I am a liar. I contact him and he says he was upset and it works fine. he also said he would remove the neg. never hapened though. Yeah I know, not much action, to much to read.

What I have learned from this and recent auctions:

Always send Priority, with tracking or DC

Negatives happen.

Selling retro stuff (Esp Videogame related) isn't always easy. Some people just aren't familiar with cartridge based systems. Especially the NES, which is not loaded from the top. I still wouldn't trade in my childhood memories of blowing in the system and "wiggling the carts" for a damn thing.
