I came across this seller while browsing eBay last night. They caught my eye because they're selling numerous expensive items in one-day auctions, all starting at $1. All auctions carry a $20 shipping charge, no matter the size of the item (except for a couple of GBA SPs, they have free shipping).

The thing that most caught my eye was that no insurance was offered. So, I e-mailed the seller and asked what the shipping method would be, and if insurance could be purchased if I paid the extra cost for it.

The response? "USPS, and no."
No mention of which particular USPS method (thought I can guess it would be whatever is cheapest, and the rest of that $20 would be a "handling" fee). And no insurance, even at the buyers request and with additional payment? Sounds quite fishy to me. What do you all think?

Whoa! Shipping, $40 for a Pokemon card?! And then below that it says shipping is $8. Definately not trustworthy, indeed.

And I bet the poor buyer who paid 1 penny for that card didn't even notice the shipping charge...

This guy's one to add to the blacklist.

Holy shit @_@

Why in the world would someone have bid on that auction unless they were completely idiotic or had no plans on ever paying?

$40 shipping for one obviously dirt common Pokemon card?

I suppose the bidder deserves what he gets for that one.

Notice the bidder left him a positive feedback.....

In that case, maybe both the buyer and the seller should be blacklisted.

'Cuz you have to think, either that buyer was just shilling, or they're really really stupid. And I've dealt with enough stupid buyers.
