Holy geeze. I'd looked over this thing about a dozen times. I bought it from a flea market probably 4 years ago for about a buck. I had no idea that it was so rare.

Game label is in kinda bad shape with warping, small stains, and whatnot (but completely legible) and someone wrote "Norris" on the front of the cart (but underneith the label, could be removed I think); the label is 100% complete though. The switch on the back is in place. The thing could probably be a 7+ if I cleaned it up.

I wrote this thing off as an odd pirate import but I guess it's the real deal.

Serial # is 000190 and it has Cosmos Cop, Magic Carpet 1001, Balloon Monster, Bookyman, Adam & Eve, and Porter on it.

What would this thing be worth in this condition? Is anyone interested in pictures?

Cleaned up or not, it's going to be an R7+, then :D

Nice find! O_o

Oh, believe me, I won't LOL

The writing is on the plastic part of the game right below the label on the right hand side. I just found a very timely thread on removing marker from game carts that I will utilize. I've taken a closer look at the cart and there are no cracks at all and only a single hairline scratch near the mouth of the cart (right side).

The back label looks minty fresh

"When this cartridge is causing the console to reset (picture flashes off and on), take out the cartridge and set the sliding switch to the other position(s) and try again"

Awesome, i'm so happy! I'm just glad I take good care of all my carts! Maybe I should go look to see if I have a Stadium Events cart sitting around :D

I'd take a pic but my 'provider' seems to be down right now. I'll try to include one tomorrow if anyone wants to see it.

Now how does this writing on the front work? Is it like a normal NES game's label, just somebody peeled up the edge, wrote something on it, and put it back down? That'd be...odd. I would personally NOT remove it, since any damage the marker would do is already done (unless that's not the case, which is true at times) and I see it as a sort of "footnote" about the piece. Sort of like finding an original reciept inside a Japanese Mega Drive game -- cool!

Wow, just got the pic up as I posted :)

Here it be:

It's definately more cleaned up now and the writing is starting to come off. The back is near perfect! The pic was taken right after I discovered what it was. The cart was in the exact same condition I bought it in which is kind of remarkable and says a lot about the persistance of dirt.

Most of the crud has been easily cleaned off with some GooGone (I love that stuff; just as good Goof Off but without destroying what you're trying to clean).

It's probably unlikely I could do anything with the label, but it would be nice if anyone has any suggestions. As for the rest of the cart, I'll sparkle it up as best as I can and then put it in a place of honor in my collection!

If you are a NES collector then consider yourself VERY lucky. I'm guessing that I won't end up with this game untill I'm about 4 or 5 from a complete set. I see NWC's on eBay more often than this thing.

a most excellent find. Wish i had carts just sitting around waiting to be realized they were something greater then a double dribble cart x_x

Like I said, I got this thing at a flea market about 4 years ago when I lived in Tennessee. There is a big army base there (Ft. Campbell) and the guy who sold it to me wasn't sure about the carts origin. I figured he picked it up during a tour of Japan or something so I bought it for a buck and never thought twice about it.

So now I really do have my great flea market story (side note: I also bought a sealed copy of Secret Quest on the 2600 from him at that time).

Thanks for sharing (sharing?) in my joy guys. Gotta trip over some Panesian games now...
