Didn't see this posted yet, so here goes... There is an unofficial PSOv2 server up and running that you can connect to with your Dreamcast.
Finding actual information is tough, but here (http://forums.dxbnet.net/index.php?showtopic=3138) is a forum thread that has some information, and here (http://forums.dxbnet.net/index.php?showtopic=3818&st=0) is another with the actual announcement.
In order to connect to the server, you'll either need to use a Code Breaker/Xploder code (Apparently, PSOv2 is programmed to not work with the Gameshark, for obvious reasons). Check the second link up there for the actual code itself. If you don't have a Code Breaker or Xploder, you can use some creative DNS setups to get it to work (However, this requires a BBA). Read this thread (http://www.dcemulation.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=45239) over on DCEmulation for more information on how that will work.
I don't own any version of PSO myself, so obviously I haven't tried any of this. Just thought I'd share the news.
