Hi all,

I stopped by a Gamestop on my lunch break and noticed some NES carts by Camerica. I picked them up thinking they were Zelda or Link carts because they were gold and looked like them. I've never seen these games before. I am not too familiar with them as I am not really collecting NES right now. I did not have my DPG with me so I did not know how rare they were. Moreover, the online guide does not even give a rarity rating. I was hoping someone might be able to tell me so I can decide whether to go back and pick them up on my way home from work. They are:

Big Nose the Caveman
Quattro Adventure
Quattro Sports

Thanks.

Well, what's your real concern here? How "rare" these things are, or how much fun you can have?

Most Camerica games, I find, are both fairly common and fun to play. So put away that collector mentality for a while and have a good time!

On an added note, the DPG has these listed. Maybe not as gold carts, but they should be listed. The only Camerica game worth mentioning for rarity is Big Nose Freaks Out (sans the Aladdin games).

And as far as having fun with them, I'm inclined to say you'd have to find some booze before having fun with Bignose.

How on earth can you mention that frustrating game ahead of the greatest 2-player nes game of all time: Micro Machines. I'm convinced that Camerica must have hired Jesus to program that mighty game.

And Esquire: those three games are the three most common Camerica games. Bignose the Caveman and Quattro Sports are R1's in my opinion (assuming that the rest of the continent is as flooded with these games as my area is).

Sadly though they let him go when they programed their other titles.

Big Nose Freaks Out is rare? I got it for 2 bucks with original box at EB about a month ago.
