I won a Game Theory Admiral on ebay brand new, still shrink and it is on it's way and I was wondering how other owners of this system felt about it. Give me the good, the bad and the ugly ok?!

Well, it's pretty good....it's compact, it's got a decent screen, it's lightweight.

The bad? The crosspad is a not superb, but ok (nothing beats the nes/snes crosspad or the PS 1 or 2). Also, it's pretty clunky the way you have to insert games using that adapter. I was told when they came out that an adaptor for the 72 pin games would be coming. I sure as hell haven't seen one.

Also, it's funny you posted this, because I just posted a sorta GTA-related thread:

By the way, does anyone know if there's a web address for the manufacturer of this? Mystery is the name of the company....how appropriate considering you can't find out jack about it.

I doubt I will really play it as I am just a collector but I found it pretty interesting so will try it out with a couple Famicom games I won on ebay.

it's pretty good. i actually used it on a road trip, but sometimes the bouncing in the car would mess up the connection because you have to use that adapter. i havn't used it since though, since i have a gba with a flash cart. waaaay better.

The screen is to small making text hard to read.

And it blurs a little, although not near as bad as a Game Axe or Game Gear or Nomad.

And good luck on finding an adapter to work with it. One guy was selling them with a 72 pin adapter that worked but he wouldn't sell me a loose adapter.

Very good system. Crisp, clear screen. Very good battery life. The system also has a good "connection," allowing one to bump the system without resetting the game. Good stuff.
