Does anyone know if CD32 games released in England
are compatible with US systems?

I want to add to my collection but it seems that
most of the games on EBAY are from England

Any help would be appreciated

Nearly all PAL games will work on an NTSC system and vice versa. For best results simply output the video to a monitor (such as a Commodore 1084 or similar).

If you play a PAL game though, don't you get PAL video output? My brother was a huge Amiga fan, and he used to play a lot of PAL games on his Amiga 500, and this was the case... since he was using a 1084S, the games were still playable, but the bottom inch or so of the display would "fall off" the bottom of the screen, and you'd have to deal with the 50Hz flicker. Playing on a TV that isn't "PAL friendly" might cause different effects.

Also, since we're on the topic of CD32's... can someone refresh my memory: Can the CD32 play all CDTV titles? Or are there some incompatibilities? I've heard conflicting reports.

There's some incompatibilities (especially if the title took advantage of the CDTV's gamepad's extra buttons) but not many. You can play PAL games 99% of the time without issue (the bottom bit will be cut off) OR if you hook up an Amiga mouse, press both buttons before startup and put it into PAL mode.

PAL TVs have an extra 55 lines for a total of 535. Shouldn't a newer US TV with more than 535 lines be able to display the full picture??

Cruel fate:
I have a CDTV but no CD32.

I have about twenty CD32 titles but not a single CDTV title.

Go figure.

I am still not sure that I got my answer

will I have any problems?

I don't want to buy any other equipment
