Anyone know the specific US launch date for the SMS?

A few sources point to June '86, but I'd like the exact date, or at least some confirmation June '86 is accurate.

I also have June 1986.

I was under the impression that back then game companies didn't promote a "launch day" like they do now. The consoles would just trickle into stores over a number of weeks.
