Does anyone have a copy of this game? It's one of the few I'm missing from my Dreamcast collection. However I did manage to get hold of a 'copy' of it just so I could try it out and my gawd is it bad... The handling is twitchy at best the textures are shocking even the buildings are flat and the vehicles deformed It's honestly a wonder this game even got a French release at all (and more likely only to cash in on the film). Yet for all it's bad points I STILL want to find an original copy for my collection...

...I'm I strange or what O.o

Scary thought though Taxi 2 makes E.O.S. & Roadsters seem like high quality racers ^-^

So, you want Taxi 2 - Le Jeu for your collection, eh? Don't we all! :D

Yeah, the only reason it would have got a release would be to cash in on the film ... which is HUGE in France. They've released Taxi 3 now as well. It came out on DVD while I was there this summer ... was very tempted to buy a copy, but there was no English subtitles or dubbing! :(

P.S. whereabouts in Bristol do you reside?

I never saw the Taxi movies but I do remember seeing poster ads for Taxi 3 in the Montreal subway. I didn't even know they made any games based on these movies!!! Who published that, anyway? Ubisoft? Atari (aka Infogrames)?

HERE (http://f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/md_saturn_dc/detail?.dir=/Games&.dnm=7a6c.jpg) is my Taxi collection.

Taxi 2: Le Jeu(DC) x2 :P
Taxi 3: Le Jeu(GC)

Taxi 2(DVD)

Wow, is Taxi 3 a bad game. Graphics and handling have improved quite a bit compared with the DC incarnation, and it is almost playable, EXCEPT, every time you do something exciting, like a big jump, or something not so exciting like a fender bender, the game treats you to a nice matrix-slow-motion as the camera rotates 360 around the car. Sort of like in Spy Hunter when you change from car to boat. You can't get past it so you have to watch it. Every time!!! Every 20 seconds this happens. While pretty cool the first time, by the 15th time it is time to hit power off and never play the game again.

FYI: It does work fine with Freeloader 1.06B on a US GC hooked up to a US TV.

I used to live on Gloucester Road, just by the Arches ... and before that, up at the top of St. Michael's Hill. I miss it! I am probably coming back to Bristol at the beginning of April sometime to have a 'leaving party'. Since I only had two weeks notice when I did leave, there wasn't really time for one ...
