I will soon be getting a mint boxed game gear in the mail, and I would like start a rather large collection of games for it. I would like to aim for complete games only, but with the overwhelming amount of titles on the system I think I will have a very hard time obtaining a good amount of complete games without doing some hard bidding on ebay and burning a hole in my pocket. Do any of you collect for the game gear? I think I am going to aim for a cart only collection (boxes are fine though if I can get them). Also have any of you played defenders of oasis? its an rpg on the console and I would appreciate it if you could tell me if its a good game and how the gameplay works.
Your thoughts?

I collect game gear and It is a tuff system to collect if you want complete games.True you can find alot of majecso releases in the box but the box looks like crap.I have a little over 40 games for it now.Im getting all the hard to find stuff first then going after the commons .I think there are few other board members on here that also collect game gear .Im sure they will chime in as well.

how exactly can you tell if a game is a majesco release?

how exactly can you tell if a game is a majesco release?

it will say majesco sales on the sticker

the cart will also be a dark black and the lables usually look faded as do the boxes and will have a screw in the back of the cart.

I will have a game gear page of my collection up in the next week or so

I will have a page that will show the difference on it.

I think you'll have a much easier time just going for the loose games with the hard plastic cases -it is great protection. I hardly ever see completes in the wild and if i do the boxes are usually mangled. just my 2 cents......

ya I think I will go or loose, finding boxed GG games in the wild is pretty hard...

I had been considering a GG collection once I start closing in on the last few SMS games I need, but again, the scarcity of boxed games put me off a bit.
I've been picking up every boxed game I see in the wild (about 20 so far), but it would take a very long time like that. And finding non-crushed boxes is even harder. Think I'll stick to the Megadrive instead - no such problems there :) [although there's 3 times as many games to get :( ]

Aye gg games complete are few and far between. The md is much easyer and my local gamestation is flogging loads off at £1.99 (also all sms games)
