Hello,

I've allways been a little bit uncertain as to what I'm supposed to do when I shut off my model 1 sega genesis/cd system.... when I want to shut it off... as far as I understand it's not really possible to make the system spit out the tray to remove a game disk without restarting the system..and then if you try to use the controller to close the tray the system will just spit the tray back out if their is no disk in it..so I find myself having to turn the system off and shove the tray back in by hand.

I don't like this as it just seems to me like it should ware something out... I mean when I was in school they allways told me to close the tray on a computer by pushing the button and not the tray because pushing on the tray supposedly wear out the motor.

Is there some special trick to getting the system to close it's tray when it has no disk without it spiting it right back out or is what I'm doing really all that there is to do?

Yes,hitting the reset button makes the tray go in and out!

Reset opens the drawer.

Pressing START on the menu screen closes it.
