GODDAMN YOU EB GAMES! I finally swear them off after a few bad experiences locally, but looks like I'll have to pick up another DC for that price. I just hope it works, I just have bad feelings about buying disc-based systems used...

I called 3, YES THREE EB games in my area, and they all knew nothing about getting a N64 or DC for $9.99 w/ purchase of a game!! I asked if it were store by store or state by state, and they said no, that all sales are corporate and nationwide. They said the $9.99 used system deal was last month. They told me they are selling used N64's for $14.99--still not a bad price. This isn't the first time I have heard of this sale with their used systems, so that's why I called before just going there. Is this a case of a false report of a sale, or are the EB games employees not informed at all about what is going on? You would think that if the sale is real, one of the three stores I called would be aware of it--right? :hmm:

Hey sorry Evil E if this sale is not taking place around your area. I went to the one EBGames near me and they did have the sale, they just did not have any dreamcast systems in stock. Here is the link to the scan of the ad with the dreamcast/N64 information:

DAMN DAMN DAMN!!! Either my EB stores around me are idiots, not informed, or it is not in my area!! They said ALL of their sales are nationwide! Are they liars too? I am in the Phoenix, AZ area, where are you syzygy?

Florida. But I would try this. Print out the flyer and take it to the manager and see if they will honor it, it can't hurt to try!

I see there is quite a lot of fine print, does it say anything about not being in all areas/stores? I am thinking this is a regional thing, and of course, it missed my area stores. The EB games guys I talked to said their sales are always nationwide! They must be either liars or idiots. :(

The EBGames in an area mall (Rosedale) shut down- just empty space, a bunch of shelves/racks piled in a corner & some cardboard displays. They even changed the mall maps so it's not listed anymore. Hmmph...

From what I've seen about them here I'm not missing much!

I think the $9.99 with game deal was a two day only special (ie Sunday and monday, 15/16th). There were seperate flyers printed up, so it's possible the stores didn't recieve the flyers in time, or it was over looked. To be honest, there are *so* many freaking different sales going on that sometimes certain ones do go unnoticed (especially with sales on top of a sale, The $14.99 N64 sale becomes $9.99 with game purchase sale ).

If all else fails, have the clerk ring it up. If it's still vaild, the computer itself will automatically discount the product to the proper amount. I saw two sales today of really lesser GBA accessroies that dropped to like $1.99 from $7.99 ring up after the tally button was hit.

ANd I'd hurry..we haven't had systems in stock at my store since the $14.99 went into effect..we keep getting sold out every time one comes in :eek 2:

Dangerboy--so you work for EB games? If so, is it true that EB's sales are always nationwide? That would answer our questions....

Yeah all sales are at every store. The only real difference in stores are the employees and processing procedures (ie where do we put the sticker?)

And that was a nice freaking grab off the web-site...you literally just got the two dvd's for free and then some o_O
