Sega CD- Golden Axe- 5in1 question

I just got the arcade classics 5 in 1 collection for the Segad CD and was wondering how you play 2 players on Golden Axe.

I have tried and tried. I can do it easy on the Genesis version, but the Sega CD version just won't seem to work. Did Sega by chance "gasp" forget to put 2 player on the Sega CD version? That will suck if it's the case.

Now that I think about it, I never got it to work either. I was told by several I just needed to hit start on the second player controller, but it never worked in the 4-1 and based on what you've said just now, the 5-1 as well. Anyone?

I believe the games are only one player (On the 4 in 1 and 5 in 1). Sorry!

I have to concur, the Sega CD 5 in 1 Golden Axe does NOT seem to have two play simultanious EXCEPT I think the head to head mode (IIRC). Which is really sad and Sega dropped the ball there. The cartridge 6 in 1, however, does have 2 player.

Yep it's one player. That goofy 5 in 1 disc has caused many a controller fight between me and my friends. I never understood why they didn't make it two player, dumb decision by the game programmers is my guess.
