Super Smash Brothers Melee... Secret characters

i finally got Super Smash Bros Melee.. and i unlocked all the characters... or did i?... i unlocked all of the characters that u hear everyone talking about... but several sites i've heard that MAYBE u can get sonic and tails.. and MAYBE u cant.. but after seeing this site, i'm completely confused... http://membres.lycos.fr/hitsdesjeuxvideos/trucage/Doc1.htm


i mean is it just a foreign version of the game, or is the pic a rip... one or two look like a rip, but some of the others look genuine..

also i just noticed... the top picture has one square that is completely blank... it has a 2nd player human set as Samus, but on Samus's pic there is no 2p disc... also luigi's picture looks like one from Luigi's mansion... also the pics are almost all diff in each pic, and they are all arranged different...

It's fake. It all started with an April Fools joke in EGM one year.

Those are all doctored screen shots. The only unlockable characters are (correct me if I'm wrong)

Wow, some of those shots look like crap. I can't believe that anyone would bite on them. The one Sonic one(during gameplay) actually looks somewhat decent, but the others....yikes.

That joke EGM pulled really set off SSBM fnas off across the world, actualy attempting the "trick" you had to do to unlock them. I remember it was something nearly impossible to do, and some people actualy spent forever trying to do it and same actualy did it.

The challenge was to beat 20 opponents in Cruel Melee. I believed that trick too, and I remember what it said when you 'unlocked' them:

"A dream's been cast!"

It was pretty funny at first. Then I tried it, at least three times. Heh... then I realized it was an uber-hoax. F you, EGM. I think I cancelled my subscription quite a while ago. I couldn't care less about them now. Bah. :angry:

yes i read on a forum about having to get 20 kills on Cruel Melee... then spent about 20 minutes trying... and only got 5.. then said screw it, and stopped trying.

...impossible things like that on video games is what gets my controllers broke lmao..one minute i'm playing all happy... then i die like 50 times in a row, then i get pissed
