Is anybody a regular at any thrift/funcoland/gamestop.etc... stores? Like you walk in and the person recognizes you or knows your name off the bat? I am a regular at one of my goodwill stops, and a salvation army. Also, this doesnt really count, but the people that work at a mcdonalds by our houses know us.

The guys at EB (it's actually one of the "EBX" fancy EB's, cuz it's in the same mall as the Armani store, and they couldn't have just any videogame store there, heh) know me pretty well. They keep Dreamcast stuff I want and let me know about deals like 80- for DBZ PSX (of course it's for resale on ebay, but since I spend that money on videogames I want anyway, I don't feel so bad).

I have a few stores like that around town, actually, wayyyy too many :)

Several people I went to high school migrated to video game stores in Columbus it seems...

And I haven't been there in a while, but JDLlama from these very boards works at a store I go to occasionally...

Now the McDonald's thing...I know that all too well, I have three separate McDonald's where they can have my order to me before I even get to the counter!!! I get such rude looks from people who have been there for 20 minutes and are still 3 back in line...

Two of my friends and I are able to ask for "the usual" in the Taco Bell drive through and they know by our voices what to give us.

Yeah, there's a mom and pop store I frequent. They hold "the good stuff" behind the counter and bring it out to me when I get there. They know I'm into imports and Saturn stuff, so that's kind of nice.

There's an Indian restraunt I used to go to three tmes a week when finances were better. I always got excellent service and they always knew what I wanted.

I go to this video game store that looks like it is going to go out of business any day now and the owner knows me. I am almost to the point where I feel guilty if I don't buy anything, but I want to make sure I am there when it is going down and they are blowing stuff out.

I've been going to my local "indie" game store since it opened. The owner and I know eachother by first name. Hell, that's how I got my Neo Geo CDZ with 8 games....for $230!
