just wondering if anyone knows if there could be a NUON emulator for PC anytime in the near future, or is it too early yet? I have a few NUON games, but will probably never get the NUON compatible player at this point....I'd love to play Tempest 3000 on the PC though...any info from anyone? Thanks....

There already is one in the works. Check out http://www.nuon-dome.com for details.

Yeah, Riff is doing great work on the NUON emulator, though it is still quite far away from running official NUON software. It is being developed more as a development tool rather than a way to play NUON games.

That said, some of the homebrew games do run on it, albeit slow. Stephen Anderson's Breakout runs on it now - I just posted a news bit about it on the front page of NUON-Dome earlier.

SmartBargains.com has Samsung DVD-N501's for $79.99. Check them out at: http://www.smartbargains.com/prod.asp?deptId=2&catId=6&prodId=2010123143&page=1&ob=

The N501 is your best bet for a US NUON DVD player since it plays homebrew games, and has the full amount of VLM effects.

Thanks for the link to the DVD player, K3V, just ordered one! Now can anyone tell me where I can get a controller for cheap, and which is the best one to get...also, are there any games that can be downloaded that might be early versions....like I heard RC de GO was in development......

Awesome deal! Thanks for the heads-up.

Not that I have $80 to waste.. but... I simply can't pass that up. Back to ramen...

Cheap NUON controllers and games can be had at:

http://www.dvdinternational.com/dvd_titles/nuon.html

The only games that can be downloaded and burned (and only run on N50x machines) are the homebrew games. You can find all of them in the Downloads section of NUON-Dome (http://www.nuon-dome.com)
