A co-worker of mine gave me a "broken" PS2--it won't read the discs. She bought a new one for her son, and asked me if I wanted this "broken" one--I don't own a PS2, so of course I jumped on it!! I have read that PS2's are notorious for doing this---I have read you can re-adjust the lens,, and it isn't all that hard to do--thoughts, ideas? Thanks in advance!

Hey gang! I decided to dive in and open it up--I cleaned the lens with a q-tip dipped in rubbing alcohol, and fiddled with (not really ever adjusting) the gear that positions the lens--and while I had it open, I popped in a Hulk game, and waa laa--played it just fine! So I tried a dvd--played just fine! I guess I fixed it!! How about that? I got me a free PS2, that took me 20 minutes to fix!! 8-) I'm so bad baby I don't care!!
