1)What is the best gun to buy for my dreamcast system? I've read some old issues of EGM and saw there were numerous problems with the light guns and I'm wondering was it ever resolved? How difficult is the official Japanese Sega light found on ebay?
2)I want a joy stick and I'm leaning toward the official agetec controller. Are there any other joysticks that might work better and are easy to find? On ebay they seem to go for $50+. Not a problem but I don't want to find out there is a better controller for fighting games.
3)Are the 3rd party maracas for Samba De Amigo as good as the official Sega ones? I see the Sega one's go for $50 on ebay. Not a problem but if the 3rd party ones work just as good then I will buy them.

1. Can't help, sorry.

2. Go with the Agetec, nothing's better. No doubt about it.

3. Official maracas are more reliable, much like the official console controllers. The 3rd party ones don't read movement as well.

1. Go for the Official Guns if you can get hold of them I found that these are the best the Madcatz ones are okey but the laser seems to aim off to the right a little on the one I have (though I don't know if this is a fault with the one I have or a common thing)

2. Arcade Joystick - I use the official one again as it's just like a real arcade unit one / Joypad - Try the Madcatz one with the rubber grips on (not sure of model number) but they seem to be a popular alternative to the official ones

3. The Official ones are the most reliable but the "Cha Cha" maracas have a slightly different set up allowing a them to better respond (they have a wider detection set up than the official ones) but the official ones seem a lot better built

1) The MadCatz are the best US issued light guns. If you have an import system that will accept the official Sega guns (not released in the US) go for those instead.

2) Dunno. D'oh!

3) The official maracas are best, no doubt about it IMO. :) They have a better "feel" to them and response is excellent.

i just thought i'd mention that the official sega light gun WILL work on your american dreamcast IF you are playing an imported game. the domestic games have the regionlock for the gun on them... the dreamcast hardware does not.
