I know there is already some sort of Playstation Top Games list on digitpress (top 50??) but as usual these only include US releases etc. I know some of the gamers that frequent the import forum collect and possibly prefer the japanese version of the game. There are several reasons for this....artwork, included extras, translation, and just the fact you have the version from the country in which it was produced. On top of that there are many games that never made it stateside.
Anyway since I am living in Tokyo and studying Japanese, I have pretty much decided to collect only the Japanese versions of games.
My proposal is that we take the Playstation top 50 list from digitpress and make it into an import forum top 100 list. Translate titles to the Japanese versions and add more games. 100 PSX games I think is a fair target to get pretty much all of the major hits along with some more obscure titles.
If we did a good job with the PS1 we could move on to systems such as Dreamcast and Saturn. If anyone is interested I would love to get this started.
