i believe that the game WAS released as a 4-in-1 cart by sega over in the uk and europe. what are the other 3 games? btw, some uk md carts do have pretty poor looking labels (and glue that doesn't always stick properly, lol), but without a pic pf the cart to look at, i can't tell you much...

saw a boxed one on ebay about a year or so ago, and another a bit before that- so it exists. you may, of course have a bootleg of the cart, but, again a scan would help!... :D

Yeah, that's the 'Classic Collection' alright. 2 stone-cold classics [Flicky being the other, of course ;)], one averagey and one duffer. Not a bad ratio, really :)
They're fairly common on eBay UK (I've got it in the not-yet-online Megadrive list as an R4).
If anyone's looking for one I'd recommend searching for 'Classic Collection' instead of 'Gunstar Heroes' since they sell for about half as much [£4-£8, as opposed to £10-£15] without 'Gunstar Heroes' in the auction title.
What makes yours look fake? I doubt anyone would bother to pirate this when it's worth £5-10, as opposed to Gunstar Heroes by itself (worth around £25, but has twice sold for £45+ in the last month).

I would guess at worst someone lost the inlay and printed / copied a new one. The 4-in-1 Classic Collection is great .. you get Gunstar Heroes for £10 - £15, or whatever you pay for the thing .. plus you get Flicky too, which is great! I actually completed that (well, rolled it over anyway) whilst revising for my finals. Revise for an hour .. play Flicky for 10 mins. Revise for an hour. Play Flicky for 10 mins. Revise for 10 mins. Play Flicky for an hour. Oh damn!! Perhaps that's why I only ended up getting 38% in Group Theory ...
Anyway ... on the subject of pirate carts ... wanna hear my weirdest Megadrive pirate cart story? Well tough, cause I'm gonna tell it anyway!!
I bought Shining Force 2 off ebay from some guy in the Netherlands. I send payment, and wait. Nothing turns up. After a bit more waiting he agrees to send another copy, and a free Game Genie to make up for the delay.
So this package arrives, and i pull it all out - looks great. Box, manual, cart are all in good condition. Nice! So in it goes .. I've never played it before, so I am not quite sure what to expect. However, what I did not expect was two muscly dudes to appear on the screen followed by the title "Street Smart". I am a little confused, but still wanting to believe that it is what it says on the cart. Perhaps "Street Smart" is the developer or something ... so I press start, and find myself in a really crappy side scrolling beat 'em up. Needless to say, I am somewhat disappointed. And bizarrely, the cart shows absolutely no evidence of tampering, as far as I can tell. Must have been a real professional pirate job .. or some horrendous factory cock-up. I wonder if it is the latter, because who would go to the trouble of ripping out a SF2 chipboard to put Street Smart in?!?
To his credit, the seller refunds my money, and tells me to keep everything!! I later sell the box and manual for £10, and throw the cart in as an "interesting curio".

How bizarre!
The strange thing is Street Smart was never released in Europe (Jap/US only), so factory mix-up seems unlikely. (It does surface regularly on the pirate XX-in-1 carts, though) But if you're going to those lengths to make a convincing copy, surely it can't be too hard to throw in the right ROM?

i have bizarre pirate super turrican for the SFC- it's got the game in a sfc-sized SNES box (it looks a bit odd cut down like that), a manual (great printing job), and the game on an official SFC cart with the real screws. i got it in a lot off ebay about 3 years ago, and i get a nice chuckle whenever i look at it.
