*EDIT* I figured instead of posting a new thread I'd drag up this dead horse. I wanted everyone to know that a friend of mine gave me two signs that I gave him to sell, and since many of you expressed interest in them I thought I'd post it here again.
Also, Starting this weekend I'll be selling some of the things that I had received as an employee of Nintendo, so those of you looking for unusual industry related items might want to keep an eye out.

Thanks! It kind of sucks that my first post 'back' is a selling post, but that's the nature of the beast.
And, to keep in the spirit of the thread, everyone take note; there will be more things going up tomorrow night!

I was contacted by a fellow re: the life cycle exertainment system. He actually has the bike that goes with the unit, and is interested in learning more about it's value and setup. Can anyone help out with some info on the bike itself?

Hey just so you guys know, the Racing Logo isn't Neon. It's definitely mocked up to look like neon, but it's flourescent with kind of an odd clear plastic front. hmm hard to explain maybe I should take and add some more pics. The sign is definitely supposed to evoke neon though, if you look closely you can see that it even emulates the "painted over" part of neon tubing where it connects to the rest of the sign....
Want more pics?

I believe the game store I used to work at had two of those neon signs. The basically have a marquee over them that says Nintendo. They appear to be neon tubbing when turned on(More so in the dark).

why is it called "Racing" logo?
Is this an original Nintendo logo? I've seen a couple of eBay that do not look like original Nintendo (but rather aftermarket copies!)
Also, the 3rd picture looks like something I've been looking for, but the others looks completly differently! Is it really the same item!? Maybe you can post more pics?

The original Nintendo Logo with the red circle around it is 'officially' called the racing logo (at least by Marketing people). This is an oficial Nintendo sign. It came from Nintendo directly, and the box even has the seal of quality on it. Hold on a few minutes and I'll take some more pics for y'all...

Ok, It's Model No. M37R. It still has the MSRP sticker on it for 175.00 (the yellow round sticker you see below). It was originally shipped to a store in Texas back in 1990, according to the packing information, then returned to Nintendo soon after.
If you look at the pictures of the logo, it almost has a thermometer effect. You can only see the red when you're looking at it head on. looking at it from an angle shows that it's almost clear. The net effect is that when you turn it on, it looks like neon, and in all likelihood fooled anybody who did not have a chance to closely examine the sign.
Another look at the label shows that they are in fact flourescent lamps. Something given away only when you first turn it on, since it flickers for a second as flourescent lamps will. Also, don't mind the dirt, it's in mint condition, and the black mirrored surface and the flash highlighted specs of dust on it. It's in perfect condition with no scratches or blemishes on the front or back.
By the way, Leonk, the third picture is of the back of the unit. The other side has the 'neon' look to it, but the back has the racing logo printed on to a black matted metal plate.

Holy shite.
Still, that's the only sealed Wild Guns I've seen in over a year of hunting for the game. It's hard enough to find one that isn't a former rental, and harder still to come across a complete copy.
Strangely enough, though, there's a complete Wild Guns up for auction now (and by a member of these forums, it seems). I'll be very interested in seeing the final price.

You know, that sealed Wild Guns I've been trying to talk down for 3-4 years from $40 sounds good right about now.

There's one more sign (my last) and a few more factory sealed games up right now. After these there will be some really special items up. They're not signs, but they are similar in nature...

Not that I want to pick on anybody, but why didn't you put the words "super" or "nintendo" in some of your auctions like Mega Man X factory sealed. I mean, I realize....really interested parties are going to find it and most will. But it's still to your benefit to put it in, since it appears you have room. Just my two cents....Nice stuff!

Please see the "note" line, Nathan. It has both my name and my wife's (what the hell are the odds of that?) so obviously those were supposed to be shipped to me over 3 years ago, but that's alright, you can just ship them now, I won't hold a grudge. LOL

Well, luckily I won one of them, $154 for that SNES one, WOW! A little high for me, but that world of nintendo one will be great for my room. Some great stuff for auction Nathan!
