Anyone else notice that many items that you can still buy at Target or Best Buy go for the same ammount or MORE (shipping) on Ebay?

I finially broke down to my love of the Latte and did a LOT of research on a good espresso machine (not those steam toys they sell at Wal-Mart) and came to only two choices under $500. One was the Rancilio Silvia which is $399 and the other was a big surpise really and the one I got.. Starbucks' Barista which is $249 (though I talked the lady at the starbucks into giving me 20% off and 1 pound of coffee.)

Now before I got the machine I did the usual Ebay look for a deal.. People were paying MORE then retail on the item. wtf ya know..

Maybe some people are just too lazy to leave their home.

Well alot of times people overpay as they have no options on getting said item in their area. If you have no place that sells the itme you are outta luck. Thats what i think happens in alot of cases

I am constantly selling items on Ebay. I have sold a lot of Nes controllers on there before. They have sometimes go to $13. The reason being is these people live in the middle of nowhere and have no other stores to buy the stuff at.

The "middle of nowhere" theory may prove correct....BUT......I believe that is only true with a small portion of buyers on there.

Take in consideration a NES with SMB/DH I sold for 49.00 with 8.00 shipping to a guy in New York, NY. Or Lunar Legend for GBA that sold for 75.00 to a guy in Washington, DC.

I think for the most part, people are too lazy to get out of the house or do any research. Who knows, I don't complain when my items sell for crazy high prices!
