Somebody help me get my sega cd to work :(

i got a sega cd at a flea market boxed. its the version 2 top loading its got a base that a genesis 2 snaps into to. i got the power cord for the genesis and the cables to hook it to a tv but there was no power cord for the sega cd and theres a slot on the back of the sega cd for a dc adaptor thing but there wasnt one in the box i dont know if the sega cds broke or if i need two plugs one for the genesis and one for the sega cd. the genesis works fine.

The Sega CD requires its own power cord. You can use a Genesis one, or even a Master System one. I think an NES one works as well, but the SNES one doesn't.

I think Sega-parts.com has a genesis AC Adaptor you can order.

yea i acciendtly pluged the ac adaptor for my portable cd player into my genesis once and i swear to god it lowered the voltage and made it pal i could tell by how the picture was rolling. LOL
