Just how much effort does it really take to start a weekend thread? I guess the awesome responsibility falls to me...
Made some money on Ebay this week, so of course I had to spend it....all.
Boxed, like new PS1/LCD Combo unit $79.99 at a used game store. Wow, is this a slick little piece of hardware!
Boxed Jaguar system, Boxed extra controller, Jaguar merchandise catalog, Cybermorph & NBA Jam (loose with instructions), Raiden and Alien vs. Predator (Boxed) $49.00 at a used game store.
Super Wrestlemania Genesis $1.99 at Goodwill
Castlevania SOTN $14.99 new at Blockbuster (Yeah, it's the 2nd GH run, but I've been wanting to play it and had a giftcard burning a hole in my wallet, so what the heck).
P.N.03 for the Gamecube $9.99 new at Best Buy
Tactics Ogre GBA $24.99 new at Gamestop
Limited Edition Soul Calibur II guide $1.99 at Gamestop (goes with the SCII arcade stick I just picked up, now I just have to get the damn game!).
Iridion 3D GBA $6.93 at a KB Toys going out of business. This store is still at 30% off, but they're getting stock from other stores that have already closed. They had about 20 copies of Genny Desert Strike, a few copies of the SegaCD Marky Mark masterpiece, and even a few sealed Game.com games (Indy 500 & Jeapordy) that would have been $3.50 after discount...may be worth rechecking the ones by you if they're still open.
Think I'm going to give SOTN a spin on the Combo...

Two cool stories to tell...
NES with hookups and games. (Totally Rad, Yo Noid, Punch out, SMB, SMB3, TMNT, Talespin, Kung Fu):
My dad bops around goodwill for me once and awhile, he's found me a lot of great stuff but this takes the cake! He was talking to an employee about games and was asking if they had anything in back. He said nothing in back but he thinks he saw a box up front. My dad walks up front and sees a box with all the stuff in it. The lady at the register says "Someone brought it back, said it didn't work. They paid 10 bucks for it all..." My dad asks "How much for it?".... "1.99 for everything" she said. "ILL TAKE IT!!!" Dad says. GO DAD GO! ^^v
Lunar 2 for PSX plus tons and tons of game boxes TBD:
Awhile ago I went into my local blockbuster and saw that they had 3 copies of Lunar 2 for rent. I asked the manager if they would consider selling me a copy. He said that he would consider it and would call me when they sell some more rental games. Around 3 months later he calls and says that he's gonna sell it. I wasn't home, and my dad picked it up for me. It has everything but the box, but he got it for 9.99! My dad showed me while I was working and I asked him to go back and see if they have the original box. Once I get home my dad tells me that they probobly have it in back, but they'll have to look and call us later. My dad also said that we'd take any boxes/manuals they have off their hands. They were happy about that! Who knows what I'll get then! ^^
Recap:
NES w/8 games $1.99
Lunar 2 almost complete AFAIK: $9.99
8-)

My recent finds, all loose and for Super Nintendo:
Dino City, $2.99, Gamestop
An overlooked platformer that's pretty fun.
NHL Stanley Cup, .49, Gamestop
The cheapest SNES game I have ever bought (not counting freebies). I'm not a big hockey fan but it's another cart to add to the collection. And back in the day, my cousin had a copy of the game and it was fun to play.
Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure, $4.99, Gamestop
I've only played the first level so far, but I dig it.
The Lion King. $4.99, Gamestop
My brother had this when he had a Genesis (it was the pack-in game at the time). The music was a little better on the Genesis version, though. But playing Simba is still as fun as it was back in the day.
Pac-Man 2: The New Adventure, $4.95, pawn shop
I checked out a pawn shop, and most of their SNES stuff was overpriced sports games. Meh. Then I saw this. A very unique, cute and interesting game.
Jurassic Park, freebie
I got this from a friend who had a couple of SNES games and didn't want them, since he didn't have a SNES anymore, so he gave them to me. This one would be better if it had a save feature.
Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story
The other game I got from my friend.
Super Return Of The Jedi, $3.00
I got this from another friend who was selling a couple of his old SNES games. He was selling Starfox and Mortal Kombat 3 as well, but I already have those. Fun game.
And for NES:
Exodus, loose, $4.99, Gamestop
I found this Wisdom Tree title (I hear it's a puzzle) and instantly thought of a friend who collects NES games. When I got home, I emailed him and asked if he was looking for the game. He replied and told me to get it. I went there the next day and got it. I haven't had an NES since I was young, otherwise I would have gotten this for myself.
