NWCGE 2K4 - Event Dates Anounced and Press Release Available

Northwest Classic Gaming Enthusiasts is pleased to announce their annual show, NWCGE 2K4, will be held Saturday, May 8, 2004 in Seattle, Washington. This year NWCGE is bigger than ever and we've expanded to accommodate the ever increasing interest in classic video games. Located near the heart of the modern videogame industry in the Pacific Northwest, gamers and industry experts have a chance to come together for one spectacular event. This annual event promises to be bigger, better, and more exciting than any previous NWCGE event ever! The NWCGE Annual Expo is for folks of all ages. Come join in the fun. Meet and hear from folks who helped shape and define the industry as well as a chance to reminisce the past. Come see, play, and compete for spectacular prizes.

Things are really beginning to roll along quite nicely as we're starting to spread the word. The Seattle staff even got interviewed by a local radio station! Here's a link to the three-minute clip:

I lived in Renton for 3 years while I was going to college out there...I'm going back for some catholic thing for my niece on the 8th. just happens I was gonna make a weekend of it anyway....don't know if I'll be there for the whole thing (gotta do some stuff with the family, but I'd love to get to one of these get togethers) Man, I wish I knew about this when I was there in 98-01.

Yeehaa Looks like I will be there sunday! Bring all your commodore c64 and vic20 carts and peripherals you want to trade as I will be bringing some apple franklin cards, ps2 memory cards, gba headphone adapters, nes games, atari2600 games, Vic20 games, master system games, famicom games and whatever else I can dig up and bring. Bringing lots of good stuff for trading anyway. If you have any atari2600 common to uncommon carts requests, lets see it now and ill bring them.See you there!

Awesome show this year! Lots of people came out on both days, I met Udisi and Y-Bot, thus adding to my growing list of DP folk I've met. I'll have some pictures up later this evening.

yup, I made it on Sunday, and met Nathan (AFluke), didn't meet Y-Bot or any of the others...neat little show though. got my ass handed to me in the 2600 championships.
