My first computer gaming experiences were on my dad's Heath/Zenith Z-80 business machine, a 640kb powerhouse with a black & white terminal & integrated keyboard. Its OS was CP/M, and I played some classic text adventures: Adventure, Zork, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, pretty much the whole Infocom library.

I aslo played some arcade clones: Munchkin (Pac-Man), Invaders (Space Invaders), Space Pirates (Rip-Off), and some originals that I'd love to play again: The Legend of Zeetle-Deet, Y-Wing, Y-Wing 2, Galactic Invaders, and more.

Unfortunately my Zenith passed away and I doubt my floppies are any good. Does anyone have any good emulations of these games or know anything about their history? I have never encountered them in my years as a classic gamer.

I never did much CP/M stuff myself... I have a C-128, but I didn't get it until the CP/M scene was pretty much dead.

If you need an emulator, you might want to look into MESS. I think it can do both the Kaypro and Osbourne, which were the most popular CP/M machines I can think of.
