Hi Folks,

I am looking to make this adapter so I can use anything besides the orginal Famicom controllers on the Famicom. Does anyone have a source for Famicom controllers or know where I can find the plans for an adapter?

Thanks so much!

Yours,

Rob

All you'd really need is someting to plug the NES controller into, and something else to plug into the Famicom's controller port (Standard 9 pin plug?), and the pinouts of each controller.

A little solder and possibly a radio shack mini project box, or just some electrical tape, and BAM! you're done.

There, now all you need is the pinouts of each controller, and those shouldn't be too hard to track down.

Nope (http://www.gamesx.com/controldata/nessnes.htm).

I already found that page. They don't explain how to get the 2nd player's controller on there. Also, they don't explain where to route pin 4 and 6 on the NES to the Famicom's 15 pin port. Also, why is pin 7 on the NES used twice? it's just not a very thorough page at all.
