Well I had an account at geocities that wasn't doing anything so I thought
I'd make a NES homebrew site :D

All my reveiws to date are up. If you want to add your own reveiw you can
PM me here or contact me via email ( happy_dude {at} bocnet.com.au )

There is also "TheCode Vault" where I'll be posting helpful source code
snippits. Mainly written in DASM and using my NES.h naming conventions.
I'm also working on a program template at the moment. :)

I'll be uploading a whole bunch of technical documentation somtime this week
It's all in a single DOC folder so I'll have to organise it first.

And somtime in the near future I'll get my hands on an EPROM burner and
a nice digital camera and then I'll post a section on making DevCarts.

if anyone wants to host this little project or contribute in any way fell free to contact me :) (geoshities is teh suck)

Keep at the site updates, dont fall behind. I always loose interest in my websites eventualy. The longest I kept sites going hmm...

My first website: VG Planet (about 1 year old)
Hosted on a free server and one time accidentaly I nearly erased my entire website, it had a ton of original work in it, and for me wfirst site getting 100 visitors a day at peak point was great.

Unofficial Dark Cloud Site: (about 5 months)
-I loved dark cloud, I created this fan site even before the game was out. Being the only DC fansite out, at peak position I was getting 800-1000+ hits a day. I grew tired of it and came...

Future RPG: (about 6 months)
-I took my dark cloud site and expanded it to many other PS2 only rpgs. I had a few helpful staff members now to help me w/ news and overall a successful site that at peak time got 200 visitors a day. Its still up today and way over 2 years since my last update. It still gets 15-30 visitors a day though.

I am currently working on a very simple website to keep a personal list of my games and hardware.

I'v got a lot more content up :)
I'm recording my progress in porting the Taito arcade game Space Chaser in "The Lab"
Theres "The Mail Room" where I'm hoping to compile a full archive of the
NESdev mailing list.
Theres more reveiws and they look a lot nicer to with the site redesign.
And a lot of helpful links.

Just thought I'd bump this in case someone wants to help out with reveiws, articles or anything :D

A homebrew/how-to dev site? Wow...that's cool. I'd certainly be interested in seeing techniques to make NES homebrews...especially all those pesky mappers.

I'm personally focusing on mapper 0 coding because I won't need to sacrifice specific games to put out a physical cart ;)

But the site has info on some mappers (I think....If not then it will)

I've always wanted to make some NES flash carts for myself. I always wanted to have a shitload of variations of them so I can hack roms and play them on the real system. I wonder how many flash carts you'd need to be able to play say, 90% of the NES games (to many 1-game mappers out there!).

I wonder how many carts like that I'd need to make to be able to do that.

I'm sure somone could make a mapper like the Cuttle Cart 2's software bankswitching support. :D
But for the moment the best option is an EPROM emulator and a cart for every major mapper.

hmm... I can't seem to find the code vault or the reviews... just the single news page... also none of the images work... of course this is all moot if you meant you were in the process of getting all this up and i skipped over it(which I have a tendancy to do)

but anyways the news part is looking pretty good, i can't wait to see how this thing progresses!

I can't wait to get Bratwurst's stuff up. It's very cool 8-)

I had a programming breakthrough tonight
*does happy dance* :D
I'm displaying and moving a 16x16 sprite. If I can implement control by
tomorrow night it will have taken 1 week to get the basic mechanics of the game in place.
I'v uploaded a rom of my progress so far for anyone thats interested.
The next release will have sourcecode included ;)
