I'm interested in getting one of the Metal Slug games for the PSX or the Sega Saturn.
Now, as far as I can tell, there is both a Metal Slug and a Metal Slug X for the Playstation. The Saturn has Metal Slug.
Is there a difference between Metal Slug and Metal Slug X on the PSX?
Also, I've heard taht the Saturn version of Metal Slug is slightly better than the PSX version of Metal Slug.
So I'm assuming that I should get Metal Slug for the Saturn. Right?

Metal Slug X is a remix of Metal Slug 2, and can be had locally for the PSX in North America.

In addition, MSX eliminated some slowdown that was found in MS2. At least on the Neo.
Personally, I think MSX is a stronger game, but I may have a soft spot for it as it was the first MS game I played.
9 times out of 10 the Saturn version of a 2d game is going to be stronger. I think that's pretty much true with the Neo ports.

Get them both (they're both excellent), but I believe if you get the Saturn verson of MS you need the 4 meg cart to run it. As always, if you need more MS info, feel free to check out my MS site Iron Cavalrymen In Hell, at http://www.geocities.com/metalslugicih - okay, no more plugs, sorry.

I got a MSX used for 5 bucks, and I have to say its 1 of my favorite PSX games.
I would just buy whichever one you can get your hands on first! :D

The psx version would be cheaper to acquire than the saturn version plus it has some extras that the saturn version may not have on it.
