Well, the title says it all...

And here are three articles to go with it.

Ok, so let's have the Sony Fanboys line up to the left, and the Nintendo ones to the right.

If it means a better battery life and cheaper price, why not make it 2006? I'm not saying that's why... just it would be a good reason.

They can't rush it they have to make this thing the most badass portable around. If they need more time so be it.

This is a good move, and I too think it is to lower the price and to tweak the problems its seems to be having

yea, I was hearing it was a pain in the ass to develop for...so why not push it back and actually have some software ready when it launches

I hope they use the extra time to fix the faults the PS2 had... like for example, I'd like to see a lot less DRE's on the PSP...

Personally, a push back helps because I don't have a huge amount of extra money right now so this will give me a chance to save up. Although, I really couldn't care less if it ever does get released as I don't have any interest in it. If it does come out though, I will of course buy it as it is a system that I don't have.

Thae article say it's still being scheduled for release in Japan in 04 so I'm sure the early adopters will pick'em up thru lik sang and other importers. Personally I'd prefer to wait till the bugs are worked out and theres a substatial library behind a console before I purchase one, especially Sony porducts.

Plus we havent even seen this device so it might be another n-gage as far as we know :P

They are testing out the Japanese market first. Most Japanese companies do that.

I"m sure it'll sell like hotcakes... I'm just worried that it's going to have serious issues. I won't buy it until there's at least a few solid games on it I want. The PS2 launch was awful, and I didn't get a PS2 until a year and a half ago.

damn straight, skippy! lol. yeah, it's great news i think, especially as it'll allow tsony to actually make sure all of the launch games are tight (at least in america). my prediction for the japanese launch: 20-25 titles, including 8 or 9 games we'll never see (sim/strategy/puzzle/tsuguroku/adventure). sony is also a little wary of what nintendo's up to (hell, aren't we all)- if their new multi-screen tanks or throws the market off whack any more, i'd expect some sort of MAJOR media assault from sony touting the power and visuals of the psp. which in turn will lure the tech-heads and gotta-have-its out there to pre-order up the wazoo...
