Can someone please explain how the game of the year according to these guys is Call of Duty after GTA won 6 awards, including the PC GOTY??? I'm certianly not arguing that it didn't deserve it, I just don't understand how it can be GOTY when it didn't win any other awards. :hmm: Is this just completely illogical or is it just me?

That makes no sense what so ever. The game that wins the most awards is the game of the year.

This reminds me of an awards ceremony in second grade. Here we were, the entire 7-year-old population of Brandon Elementary, standing on a brightly-lit stage. Awards are handed out for what seems like hours, and we're all getting fidgetty. It didn't take long for us to start whispering to eachother, so we began to ask, "Why aren't any of the smart people getting awards?" Clearly, something was amiss: All of the average students were raking in various awards for art, science, math, etc... But, then, at the end of the ceremony, they started handing out the "academic awards". There were only a few, and they all went to the smart kids, because they excelled in all subjects. One of them went to yours truly, and it hangs proudly on my wall out back of the Krispy Kreme, where I scavange for daily scraps. The End.
