As most of you guys and gals may have already noticed, I have not been around too often lately. Many things have been going on with my life and I just cannot find the time to post updates and basically keep up with the forum. With two jobs, a baby on the way, and trying to get straight with all of the bills, it has just been a real strain on me. I have already informed Joe about everything and he will assume the responsibility of promoting some lucky member to mod status for the Emulation forum.
I would just like to say thanks to everyone for a really great time. I have been a mod here for quite awhile...so long that I actually cannot even remember when I started :) I will definitely miss it. I will still pop in and out of the site on occasion (it has been my homepage for the longest time) so I'm not going MIA or anything. I just need to take care of the important life things first.
So long folks, have fun and keep on emulating! :)

Damn man, I think I speak for everyone when I say that the forums will be losing a huge asset.
Thanks for all the time you've put into the forums, you made it a great place to come. You will be missed.

Thanks for all of the work you've put in. Real life and especially family should always come first. And most importantly, keep gaming during the 5 spare minutes a week you'll have after the kid!

We'll all miss you.
Thanks for everything.....
Be sure to pop in once in a while and say hi to your fellow DP brothers (and sisters).

Take care, Bruce. We will polish your esteemed seat at the Roundtable and keep trolls from farting on it. Your return will be most appreciated. Till then, I... no, WE'LL be seein' ya. Abayo, not sayonara. 8-)

I'll have to admit that for purely selfish reasons I was sorry to hear that you're "stepping down". You've done such a fantastic job all of these years and have been a great advisor and guardian on these forums.
But then I reminded myself that you're also a friend - and to that end, I am not sorry to hear about your decision, but rather support it wholeheartedly. I wish you all the best and hope that the things that are keeping you busy are also keeping you happy.
Stay in touch!

Oooh Oooh! I vote ME for the new MOD, that way, I can ABUSE my power and fulfill my most sinister desire of BANNING Joe from HIS OWN message board! :devilish: :devilish: :devilish: :devilish: :devilish: :devilish: :devilish: :devilish: :devilish: :devilish: :devilish: :devilish: :devilish: :devilish: :devilish: :devilish:
That's right, I'm evil now for some reason. No offense Joe, it's just the evil speaking.

You guys are gunna make me cry. Like I said, I'll be in and out...posting help and such when I can. Now my concern is getting my child into gaming EARLY. When's a good time to start? 3 months? :)

1 day... sure they can't play yet, but you can sit them close enough to hear the sound effects. Just think, it could end up that when he'she cried, you have to play Pacman to lull them to sleep. It could be a lot worse...
Oh, and I don't have a kid of my own, but a lot of friends do... get in a lot of sleep now!

I never got the pleasure of meeting you too well, but from what you did post, you were a man of the people! :) Good luck with the baby, and bye! :bawling:

My son is 2 and just finished a round of Ms. Pac Man's Maze Madness on the Dreamcast, and is now happily going around in circles on Tony Hawk 2. I've found the Dreamcast is particularly good since the main four buttons are different colors, and start is triangle shaped. From the couch, I can yell out, "press the red! Press the red!" He particularly likes shoot-em-ups (I think due to all the activity on the screen) and 3D type platformers with people he recognizes, like Spongbob and Scooby Doo. He's just now starting to associate stick movements with the character's actions. A few months ago I don't think he really realized the cause/effect relationship.
All that aside, you will surely be missed here. I hope that whatever sucker who gets roped into the mod position here behind you can do at least half as good of a job as you have. The MAME club is one of the things that have really had me gaming lately! Thanks again for the good times and remember that that kid's half you -- he'll be gaming in no time! :)

You're not really saying "farewell" though are you? Sounds to me you're just stepping down from your mod status and becoming a regular joe lackey poster like the rest of us posting whenever and not having to check in throughout the day as a mod probably has to.. correct? :)
In that case... welcome to the fold!!! :D

I'm really sorry to hear that you have to temporarily leave the family. I only just started to visit the emulation board frequently, but I really appreciate all that you have done. You will be missed zektor, but good luck with everything in "real" life.
Take care. :) ( :( )

Exactly. A farewell to "modship" basically.
