Question about the dreamcast?

Ok...well i was looking for my dreamcast the other day and my mom tells me she gave it away!! So I asked one of my freinds and he said that he will give me his for $70. It includes the dreamcast (he says it is black?) and two controllers. My question is is this a good deal? :hmm:

well, i just picked up one for $20+$15 shipping= $35 on ebay with tony hawk and nf2k1 and 2 controllers plus vmu + 3rd party memory card.

it was a regular grey dreamcast tho. you can do better than $70.

when i bought one brand new (late in it's life) i got it for $100 with 2 sonics and a memory card and one controller at target.

i don't know if they're still running it, but last week EB had a sale on dreamcasts... buy any pre-owned dc game, and get a dreamcast system for $9.99... that's a nice deal

Personally I think $70 is a bit high unless he still has all the original packaging.
However, the black DC (sega sports edition?) is pretty cool and not as common as the standard white DC's that you can pick up super cheap.

Find out if he still has the original packaging, if not you have a bargaining chip to get the price much lower. Second, try and get the price down anyway. :D

Yeah, unless you simply must have the black SegaSports version, you can pick up a Dreamcast for a song pretty much anywhere. Even the black consoles turn up at GameStop, EB, etc. every now and then. IMO $70 is way steep right now unless it's brand spankin' new. :)
