I'm currently hunting for a good Hotel accomodations. the CGE wegsite suggests The San Jose Mariott. I'm leaning towards the San Jose Hilton and Towers because it connects directly with the McEnery Convention Center via a tunnel. Does anyone else have any ideas?

You really should stay at the Mariott. The rates are better and it also connects to the convention center on the second floor. In fact, the Mariott connects to the Convention Center right in front of where the CG Expo will be. Trust me when i say it's closer than the Hilton which is at the other end of the Convention center.
Just be sure to use the discount code via the website or by phone.

Thank you I did not realize that the Mariott was connected. I have a relative that works in Hilton management so I can get upgraded (free net access + complimentary breakfast) rooms for REAL cheap (less than $80) but if the Mariott is closer that would be better. After all I will have a lot of booty that I'll be buying at CGE and I will want to take it up to my room so that I don't have to carry it around.
What other attractions are around the convention center? I am looking for things that wiil entertain my children (5&10) and wife.
