I know digitalpress might have the biggest, but does anybody know who does?

It looks like some of the game rooms are bigger than digitalpress's.

of course there are many ways to define "biggest" so its an open ended question. the old RGVC legend was that jerryg, who wrote some of the earliest atari lists and used to run an online games store kept a copy of every single game that ever passed thru his hands, from back in the days before ebay and the collecting fad. i always figured that just from his tradelists ianoid must have a giant collection, same for buyatari. as for myself i always make the hot air boast that i have the largest collection in new england (ergo i get to host the trademeets) but after seeing wberdans pics i'm not so sure, so i now i just claim massachusetts, and what the hell... i'll claim rhode island too :P

Well, it most certainly isn't me, although I'm working towards owning every domestic release for the N64.

When I first arrived at this site I took a look at the gaming rooms and was blown away. Do those of you with those massive retro collections fire all of those carts up or are there also crappy titles that you'll buy just for the sake of saying that your collections include them?

I would think that the major collectors would try to have everything they can get their hands on.

And yeah, Scott, you can claim the Ocean State. :) I know for sure that you beat Chad and me. :P

That would be sort of cool to know. I would go buy of course who has the most games, accessories, systems, collectables, etc.

Mine's the biggest...it stretches from an hour from the Pacific Ocean almost all the way to Toronto (being as a bunch of my games stuff is still stored in my dad's house in Oregon)! I'm on London, ON, so that's a 5 day drive worth of games! :D

I'm not sure how many Joe has, but Dangerboy has 4,002 games. That's pretty damn hard to beat.

I've been to the future. I've seen the destruction of our world by alien creatures so unimaginably horrifying that there are no words to describe them. I've seen the music industry topple as a result of all the lame crap flooding our airwaves and the following revolution brought to us by a band the likes of which have not been seen or heard since the early 90's (and they rock the aliens so fu**ing hard they just up and leave). A future where this post eventually comes to a close. A future where I have the biggest and broadest game collection of all time. Which brings us to a future where I slow the orbit and rotation of the earth which gives me more hours in the day to actually PLAY some of these damn games.

So let it be written...
So let it be done.

I know I dont have the most, I know I dont even own that many protos, but I do have 3500+ orig. games. One day I hope to be in an elite group of collectors, but I know that there is ALWAYS SOMEONE ELSE out there with more. I am just happy to collect and play whatever I can get my hands on, I dont care what platform!

I'm not sure about others in NH (Sylentwulf, AdamG, Soulblazer-well not sure about Soulblazer anymore), but I have often wondered if mine is the biggest in NH.

It has to be in the top 5.

Well do you count doubles, prototypes, personal collection games and games you currently have in your store? If so I have well over 10,000 which is quite a bit but I still think the Osheas guy has me beat.

I can boast to have the largest collection in my town (Marathon, Ontario). That ain't saying much... there is only 4000 people in the town, and my collection is only around 300 games...... But I can still boast my claim 8-)

I claim to have the largest collection in Vacaville, CA but I don't know if that's entirely true; about 550 total, but in a town (a city anywhere but CA) with about 90,000 people, that's still a big claim to make.

As for biggest, I always thought Joe did, especially after having completed his Genny, Sega CD and any other system collections. But there are so many people on these boards who have a few THOUSAND games in their closets (or walk-in closets, or houses) that can "compete" for the largest amount of games in their collections.

I only count each game once and protos. No doubles or anything.

I think that I might have the biggest collection in the Tri-City area of the Bay Area (Fremont, Newark, Union City), though I think that its only in numbers and not in value. I know a few people that own and run the local game shop that both probably put me to shame, but im not sure of their actual collection sizes... I do know that there isnt anyone in the area that can touch my PSOne collection of 425+ games.. My PS2 numbers are pretty sweet too.

:D Thanks. Although, if you are clostrophobic (sp.) you will hate it.

I've probably got the largest game collection [2000-ish games] on my campus (only about 2000-3000 students)

In the Thompson Institute I have the biggest with like 300. But no one else in the dorms collect video games. So I guess thats not a big claim to fame

Unless someone can take my place, I will claim the biggest for Omaha. I have around 500-550 games.

i'll lay claim to the Queen Creek/Chandler/Gilbert, AZ area with about 300 total games, unless you count resellers, then Joe at Atari2600.com has me blown away. My little collection was around 400 but since then I sold the Intv stuff (except for what I'm holding forTynstar).

I might for Rochester, MN. :O I have around 300-400 games. There is a guy who works at GameCrazy who would of had a lot more than I do, but he got rid of a lot of it. Tons of people in my city collect. X_X Especially people who work at the places. :/

whats up with all you new hampshire not attending our new england trademeets maine is being better represented and they have to drive thru new hampshire to get here!

I always want to go, but it's usually in or near Boston, right? I hate driving to Boston with a passion with all it's one way, dead en roads and extremely ambiguous signs.. :D . You have to live there to know where you are going, and if you live there you already know the area, so the signs don't do jack for anyone (a catch-22). It's one of the most difficult cities in the worls to navigate. It's definitely not a grid-like city, except for the forever-in-construction highways that run though it (good luck trying to get back on them if lost in the city). It's a mess.

Taking the trains is just as bad (drive to Lowell, ride the train in to Boston, get on the T...ugh).

If you had one in Manchester, however...

Also, it's always on a Saturday, which is great, but it's one of 2 days of the week I get to hang with my girl. It's tough to convince her to drive to Mass for a day of chilling with fellow gamers. I'd want to stay for the whole affair....I'm afraid she wouldn't dig it for as long.

Yeah, I'm whipped whatever. Lol, Jk. She likes games too, but not nearly as much as me. It would be for her like an average joe whos interested in planets and stuff going to an astrophysics scientific meeting....he wouldn't understand what anyone was saying.

Either way, I'll make my way to one eventually.
