HELLO EVERYONE. Pretty much everyone know about putting new 72-pin connectors in the original toaster style NES's. But has anyone ever put one in a top load nes?

So my question is, would the regular 72-Pin connector's you find everywhere on ebay, the same one's you would use in a top-loader? Would it even fit the same?
Also, is there even a reason to put one in the top-loaders since I know alot of people buy the new style NES's to stop the blinking part.

I just bought a top-load nes and it works good. But would it work even better with a 72-pin or would there be no point in putting one and work fine with the one in there?
THANKS ALOT! :D

Good God No.

They are not compatible. Even if it could be done, you would be swapping out a known reliable part, for a known unreliable part. O_O

Read the thread in the Restoration Society called "alarming pin discovery" 3/4 of the way down on the first page.

Thanks omnedon! Well, I wasn't actually going to do it or anything, but just thought about it and what would happen. I guess I would have done it if it was possible though, I had no idea that weren't compatible. THANKS!

I have taken a Game Genie 72 pin adapter and put it in a broken top-loader.

About an hour of work and a lot of frustration getting those 72 pins lined up.
