Ok, we are new at this, but we are a couple who both love gaming!! That is one of the things we love to do together and makes us so close. We are always working on our collection of vintage games together and sometimes we even get time to sit down and play together ;) (btw... this is Mrs. LE ...) I am a Zelda nut and he is into FF, but we still love our old systems (the 2600 & the Coleco are our favs) and like to play the action games together. I have to say that I like the puzzle games, but prefer to play something with more to it than puttin pieces of a puzzle together @_@

I have worked at a video game store for 1 1/2 years and have only come across 3 girls that are video gaming regulars. Now that's bad. See guys now you know why your ladies keep laving you.

Very Interesting! Not Me, I am Man!
I know my mom always hate video games when I was kid in 20 years ago. My Mom really never play video games till now, She saw many 3D games from TV and She said " really look as real? " when I was play " Enter The Matrix " on GameCube. My Mom really interesting with this video games but She said to me that She can't handle it because she is 55 and her hands is very weak. I felt bad for my mom that my mom never try out with video games yet. My Mom really never play video games yet, only She did watching. One Day, I hope she would like it. My Sisters Catherine and Amber .... (Laughing) .... Catherine always love to play with SNES, N64, GameCube and Game Boy Advance .... She always been play with Zelda a lots! She love Zelda more than me! anyway Amber always play with Game Boy Advance all the time but what her favourite game, I dont know yet because Amber is very young and I am very Older.... Catherine was middle. What about my friends? mostly guys, oh geez! only I know 4 girls in same my age. Tara have own Sega Genesis and She always love to play Sonic 2. Stacey have own N64 and She always love to play Mario Party. Trena have own SNES and She always love to play Donkey Kong Country 1,2 and 3. Casey, She dont have any own system but She always come to my place and we been alone play with SNES and oops! lol. The Truth is I like to have a girlfriend who does love video games or love collection video games as I do then I would love out with her. 8-)

I always wondered if there are girls that plays *fighting* games, like Street Fighter, Marvel vs Capcom 2, or King of Fighters.
The last time was at the arcade when I was 11 years old, when I played Samurai Shodown 1 when it first came out. This Japanese girl who had a accent (who was way older than me, like around my middle aged older brother's) handed me my ass with Ukyo Tachibana, I recall her telling me she has a "crush" on him. Surprisingly, she was nice enough to teach me how to use him, showing me how to do the jumping swallow slice consistently :)

There are. My friend Jen routinely hands people their asses in Marvel vs Capcom, Guilty Gear, and to a lesser extent, Sam Sho.

From my experience, chicks that are really good at fighters tend to be Asian. o_O

My family all have thier own gaming habits:
My wife and I both play Diablo II together after the kids are in bed. She just started playing Doom 3 on my pc (since her's isn't powerful enough). She's into the violent games more so than me. I lean more to RPG's and sports games. Though whenever I get a new Final Fantasy game she will sit and watch it just to follow the story.
I have a 5 year old and a 2 year old. Both are also girls. The oldest loves to play on our Spy Hunter arcade machine and the youngest likes playing our Turbo arcade machine.

first off I hope I did the quote thing right... secondly I'll raise my hands as a girl fighting game player. I'm not necessarily good unless it is Soul Calibur 2 and I get to be Raphael, but I love to play them. I hope I get good at them someday but I don't think I have the patience to put in enough time it seems to take.
I can also relate to having a crush on a character. I don't want to say who... but it does give you the feeling of wanting to play that character more.

I turned my girlfriend into a gamer (as well as a comic nerd), she would always watch me play (in fact the second time we met we talked for hours while she watched my play Vice City), and now she's starting to get into it.
She plays puzzle games like Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo, but her preferred genres are action'adventure games like Kingdom Hearts and Sim and RPG's. Right now she's on a quest to get every Harvest Moon game ever made I think, and she'll often sit down and play things like Sims 2 and Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 for hours on end.

All I know is some chick on Live today was like, hunting me in halo 2. If I died in this one match, it's because SHE killed me.

I'm also a girl gamer! But I'm not that much into puzzlers, but for RPGs the cliche fits! Besides RPGs I also like sidescrollers, shmups, jumpn'n'runs... The only think I can't get into are sports games and first person shooters. Ok, I've enjoyed Alien Trilogy on the PS, but that's it!

I used to think female gamers were a myth LOL
People talked about them, but where were they? I never knew any when I was younger. Irony knocked me over with a feather when I met who was to become my wife (yeah yeah, I know, lucky SoB - trust me, I know just how lucky). We actually started gaming together on battle.net playing Diablo and Star Craft. Today we still play games together like; Champions of Norrath, Monkey Ball and soon X-Men Legends. We aslo alternate in single player games like GTA: Vice City and Burnout 3. I can hardly play MAME on my 'puter anymore cause she is always playing Centipede. I can't come close to her High Score either! She is much better at sniffing out game deals at retail/pawn/resale shops than I am. It's great to have a game shopping buddy that your not in direct-competition with 'cause after all it's community property LOL
My advice: If you find a female gamer your compatable with worship her like the goddess she is! If your lucky maybe she'll have you LOL

The only girl gamer I know was an EverQuest fiend with her husband and later a Dark Ages of Camelot fiend. She also kicked some Galaga butt on my MAME cabinet.
My wife is, sadly, not a gamer. At. All. Still, I wouldn't trade her in for a new wife that is a girl gamer, because I Wuv Her! Well, maybe a tall-ish girl gamer of Asian descent, but not just *any* girl gamer. (*ouch* she just kicked me).
The other girl gamers I know of work at Game Crazy, and I can't figure out if they're the real deal or just trying to sell me a MVP card.

What is in question here? Whether they're really a gamer or really a female? I've seen a few Pats and Sams at GC. LOL
At least they're not tryin to sell you a crappy cleaning kit. The MVP card isn't that bad really.

One girl who used to work at a nearby mall gamestop recommended Rez to me before when she saw me picking up R-Type Final. Of course, I had to break it to her that I already had Rez, but it's all good.
Then there's the one at another gamestop who collects, and thinks the Genesis 3 is awesome, but there's no accounting for taste, I guess.

LOL! No, they're real females. My self esteem must be low, because when I'm talking to cute retail women I assume they are only smiling, laughing at my wit and making me feel incredibly charming because they want to sell me something.

the girls at game crazy here are told to compliment everything anyone buys(i think)...everytime i got here they take the game to ring it up, questioningly say the games name, read the back(or look at the label), say 'that seems like fun...i might have to try that sometime'...
unless they are all trying to smooth on me and win an invitation to play. LOL
