That's gonna be one big ass map. Even with the in-game map they don't show the whole game at once... what more with screenshots! @_@

It would be time consuming to be sure. Someone would have to cut off the background layer during screenshot taking to avoid clipping the paralax scrolling parts.
I don't have the Super Metroid guide but I'm fairly sure what you're looking for would be in those pages more or less, Sega and Nintendo did that sort of thing way before emulators made it feasible.

I see that map onthe Metroid Database, but I don't have a FilePlanet subscription. Does anyone have another link for it?
