I have several non-US SMS games (they aren't on the DP list). Will all Euro/Aussie carts play on the US Power Base? Will some only play on the SMS II? They games in question are:

Air Rescue - "software error"
James Bond The Duel - garbled background
Terminator - garbled background
Sensible Soccer - "software error"

Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Jeff D

They Should all work. Try cleaning maybe, but I don't think there should be any problems.

The Software Error message is basically the same as the pink/blue blinking on Nintendos... just clean the cart/cart port, I've seen quite a few Choplifters that seem to do this.
As for garbled backgrounds? probably the same, tho I've never experienced such myself.

I'd test those myself to confirm, but seeing as all of those games suck, I don't own any of them.

There are no region lockouts on the SMS. Every game will work on every console, provided everything is in good working order. Just do as everyone else advised - clean your carts and system.

that's not entirely true. All the codemasters games, and anything over 4 megabit's won't work unless you've got a SMS2.

Even with an SMS2 some games will not work. SF2 is an 8mb, and that cart would not work on any of my systems including the power base converter (Genesis).

Hmmm I didn't know that. I don't own any codemasters SMS games and I don't think any of the games I own are over 4 megabits either. Oh well, I guess you learn something new everyday.

Streetfighter 2 works fine on my SMS2, never tested it with my PBC, though. Also, I couldn't get it to work on my Master Gear.
