Like was previously pointed out in another thread, if someone sells something for a lot people think their game is worth a lot.

Someone sold a new one of these a few days ago gor $85 and now this guy thinks his is sorth more than the average $25 it goes for.

Someone bit on his asking price so he couldn't have been that far off

That's the whole point

Someone gets a ridiculously high price and it sets a precedent .
Now the price of Neutopia II is going to get higher .

Good for the seller bad for the buyer.

And all I was pointing out is that this is the insanity of Ebay......Like I said, it goes back to a previous thread.

I couldn't care less from the buying standpoint, because I don't collect, I just sell.

Oh and it was "too far off " This game averaged $25-30 just 2 months ago , but notice the top 2 crazy prices and you'll see why it's jumping up.

This makes me wonder about something, do you think that there actually is such a thing as a closet rarity? I'm talking about the game that nobody really realizes is rare or valuable until a few of them sell for a large amount of money and then they all take off. An example I think of off of the top of my head is Valkyrie Profile. It was like all of a sudden its value skyrocketed.

i don't believe rarity necessarily dictates price

example:

of course, i still play tetis, and i know nothing about the game in this topic. is it a good game? nobody wants to sell their good games, not even non-collectors.

Heh, that reminds me, I need to go buy all the VP games I saw sitting at the various GameStops around the area.
